This coming weekend we will have a caterer cooking up some burgers and hot dogs for lunch both days.  So bring your appetites and some cash to show him your support  8)

Hey, it looks like we've got some crossed wires here.

Is Sunday's entry fee $50 as mentioned on this thread:

Sunday, August 28 _ Combined WCMA Regional + Club Championship Event

Entry fee is set at $50 for this event.

...$50 - $70 as mentioned on the event information page:

...or $60 as listed on the signup form?

I love the club and all, but I'm not inclined to pay more than necessary. :)

Thanks!

You are right, Stephen.  Incidentally we had just caught it as well and were discussing it among the executive whether we would issue credits, refunds, or what.

Here's another idea:  What a short seminar on mental preparation ala Jonn Renay?  This went over really well at the SoloPro School we had in June ... dealing with nerves ... or lack thereof .... mental preparation especially with the SCCA Nationals coming up quickly.  I just had lunch with Jonn today and asked him if he was available to do something this weekend ... It is something we don't really talk about in autox and how to deal with all that comes with big events ... and how do you deal with the extra pressure ... or even if you are not feeling pressured ... what about if you cone your first two runs .... it's wet and you have one run left at the SCCA Nats?  How can you still perform at or even beyond your abilities?

Is that possible?

Absolutely!    I watched a bunch of the Rio Olympics (Free views on CBC still available) recently and noticed how many Canadian and US athletes performed beyond their best performances ever at the Olympics!  How do they do that?  How can WE do that?

Thoughts?   Interest?  No interest?   (BTW, I'm waiting to hear back from Jonn so this is not a guarantee at this time).

The fee charged on MSReg was an error on our part.   We will be issuing refund of $10 cash on-site for those at the event.

See you soon!

BTW, I just corrected the Sunday, Aug. 28/16 member on-line entry fee as well so anyone else entering for Sunday will now pay member = $50, non-member $60 as it should have been.

Note that only the member on-line entry fee was incorrect.  The non-member fee of $60 was correct so no refunds for them.

Only the members who paid before this point in time will get the cash refund of $10 ... 13 of them.

I was planning on attending both days but I'm using sat. To drive to the US and get my wheel and if all goes well I'll be showing up at the end of day to see how things went or at least see you at the pub.

Just wondering if I can run on Sunday or if I have to get my exhaust modified first? Its no problem either way, I just dont want to get to Mcleod and be told I cant run? Mods are hopefully imminent but not by Sunday.
Maybe the plane in the background of the pic that my car is in was the noise? lol. ;D

cheers,

Bill

What do I do if I didn't see this post until now and was charged $60?

We are giving the refunds on site tomorrow in cash.   That way there is no cost involved in refunds (typically 5%).

TEAM Challenge Results

Sparse crowd, 24 entrants, so we refined the Teams to random picks of 3 for 8 Teams in total and awarded prize monies to Teams placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd...

1st Place    Steffan A., Keith M. & Paul T. with combined PAX result 168.504
2nd Place   Cam W., Brent M., & Eric K. with a combined PAX result 168.714
3rd Place   Tom K., Tyler D., & Yvonne A. with a combined PAX result of 168.813

A day of close competitive racing, entertaining for all by the sounds of it.
Yvonne was instrumental in helping me determine the earth's axis rotation, gravitational pull and searching the stars... then ultimately determining a simple random draw from a hat would serve us best in selecting random Teams.

Results from August 28 are posted below. Please note that there are 2 files:

The first one are the morning results only which count for the WCMA Regional Championship

The second file is for the morning and afternoon results combined which is for the joint SASC/CSCC championship

I'll get Nick to add these to his website as well.

Let me know if you see any glaring errors/omissions

^^ That will have to be sorted out on the registration side

I've updated the overalls, you can view them on the interactive website here:
http://mycarspecs.com/sasc/2016/2016.html

Or directly here:
http://mycarspecs.com/sasc/2016/event/overalls/overalls.txt

Going forward I will be withdrawing from this duty as I won't have my main computer with me for a couple of months. You guys should see if Chris from CSCC can take over these duties.

Thanks,
Nick
