Title: Affordable Helmet Recommendations?
Post by: MiketheSpike on September 15, 2023, 08:48:38 AM: Hey folks. Looking to join next season, and all my helmets are way too old (motorcycle helmets) to meet standards. Wondering if there is a go-to cheap but good helmet suitable for autocross and other potential track days (or a particular retailer to go see). I'll need to buy 2 so the more affordable the better :)

Please do not buy a cheap helmet from Amazon, CBC Marketplace did an episode on those.

Post by: John in Calgary on October 10, 2023, 11:39:18 AM: Definitely loaner helmets available. At the busier Airdrie events it can be challenging to snag one with the number of first timers we see out. There is definitely a small and an x-small, my oldest has used both at Airdrie.

VERY good to know!! My boy is sooo excited he would be crushed if he couldn't ride along, so I'll make the call whether to get him his own helmet or roll the dice on being able to borrow... THANKS!
