You might want to consider a pub a little ways out of DT Terry?

I'm also not sure what part of the city most of the club lives in. The travel distance or cost of alternative transport may be prohibitive.

It is kind of a Calgary thing too

I can't tell you how many times I've gone for a meet of some kind, and it was just me and one other person... or sometimes just me

I have hated going DT for a couple of decades ... parking and the just the nuisance of trying to find parking and the traffic is maddening.  I generally avoid going DT ... as a rule or even going anywhere during rush hour.  If I go to, say the World of Wheels at the Stampede Grounds, I will often catch the LRT to avoid the parking fiasco.  Calgary covers a large area and people live all over ... SW, NW (although there seems to be quite a few of us in the NW) ... not too many in the NE that I can think of ... I know of one person DT ... SE?  A few ... not as many whom I know of ... Probably a spot not too far off of a Trail would be about the best you can do.  Note that it is quite a time commitment to go somewhere in this city due to sprawl etc.  It just takes time ... curse of a larger city I guess.  In fact, I have some business to tend to in the SE Industrial area but have put off for a couple of months already because it is too far to drive for just one item.  I am waiting for a job or something near there so that I can make the trip "worthwhile".

My main issue is the start time.  I'm not going to hang around work late, and if I go home, I'm not driving back in to the city.  5:30 is a more appropriate start time for me, though if work is light on a Friday I'm likely long gone before 5 anyways.

Agree with other comments about trying to stay out of downtown.  I don't think it's too bad but I work fairly close by to the core.  Plenty of options outside the core have parking lots.

Good to get some feed back.

I guess the real issue is do people want to meet up ?

1. Suggested locations
2. Meeting time & day
3. How frequent

Once we get some idea of the interest I will be happy to coordinate it.
