Title: Question for the rule gods.
Post by: Dirtyspoons on October 17, 2019, 04:58:04 PM
Street Touring 14.10.F.2.b Electronic components may be installed in-line between the engine and sensor in order to affect the PCM/ECU...

so dose this mean i can put in a flex fuel sensor and run e85? can you run e85 in ST? i can't seem to find fuel regulations.

trying to build my STS miata to the letter of the law and ECU and control things are in the line up for next year.

SCCA Rule 3.6 FUEL restricts Street and ST classes to 93 octane, E15 or less, unless designated as E85 Flex Fuel from the factory. So I think you’re out of luck on that.  :-\

i can't seem to find fuel regulations.

A big thing to remember about the SSCA rule book is this:  if they don't say anything about a modification, then you aren't allowed to make that mod.
