Why are so many entries missed? That's pretty brutal. Might be worth it to have a few trained people overseeing sound? Just my $0.02.

Yes a reading should be logged every run.  This was discussed after the fact.

FWIW, my car (93 and 193) was reading in the same range as it usually does, mid 80's.

Not sure what happened there.   But, like Q said, every car, every run should be logged.

Ah, good stuff, thanks Wayne!

BTW, was just looking at the logs and for when I was driving there seems to be quite a large range of values ... which seems a bit odd.  Makes me wonder if something else was contributing to the noise during a particular run.  I can't imagine there was much difference in my runs as to when I was on the gas and when I was not ... normally I am pretty consistent.  Plane overhead?  Loud cars on Airport Trail?  Another car on-course nearby?  We will have to try and observe conditions a bit more closely I think to determine what is going on.

Here's the SCCA method of measuring sound:

Wow - I have had a couple people complain about the exhaust on my focus but I was only in the mid 70s.  Good to know, thanks for posting this!

I think they were probably mistaken on which Focus they were complaining about.  There's only one I plug my ears for  ::)

I was probably being unclear - I just mean in general, outside the event, I seem to catch crap from people about my exhaust being loud but now I've got proof they are just whiners :)

My car was once again with 1-2 DBA from last event and fort MacLeod events so as far as the mid to high 80's the equipment seems consistent in that range.

Some cars pop and crackle at certain times, could this be peaking them into the 90's?

As long as you can understand what car is driving by, i dont think it matters what you write on the sound log haha! ;D

Laggin Wagon was much quieter than expected! Wow! ???

Wow, what a difference between the high and low cam on the Spyder! High 80s vs 97.6. We knew the car was loud, but I didn't think it was that loud on lift.

Already have a replacement muffler... and will add a decent sized resonator. That'll be much nicer to drive, and will get to enjoy the extra power instead of feeling super slow while on course.
