I can also vouch for this car as well as i've had the pleasure of driving it at Canadian Nationals as well as to/from (over 2000 km) Vancouver.

Car is in great shape and doesnt rattle at all over bumps (unluck some Porsches from earlier vintages...). As mentioned the car threw a code twice at Canadian Nationals but on the drive there/drive home there was no code thrown.

Extremely easy car to drive in general and whoever the new owner is wont have any problems driving the car hard at it's limits as it is fairly forgiving.

This car has a chance of winning B Street in any given day at any given course.

you can go pace it out at your nearby mall and tell me if it's tight lol

Working on some details with Reijo for his take on this. I might move the starting elements to the left(south). It was there because I remember the pavement wasn't in the best of condition...but we'll see.

Looks fun Ambrose... love how theres so many transitions in the course. Will be really good practice for packwood  ;)

General Discussion / Re: Selling a Car to someone in the US

I guess I may have gotten lucky but when I purchased my Integra I never met the seller face to face. I did email/text him lots and I sent a friend of a friend who lived in there area where the car was (Toronto) to take a look at the car in person.

I e-transferred a deposit and sent a bank draft via courier to complete the deal. A bit unnerving for sure but it all worked out in the end  :)

SASC Events / Re: YYC - WCMA Regional - Count as series Event?
« on: May 30, 2017, 11:07:54 PM »
As discussed in the club meetings, the WCMA regional does not count towards the club championship.

Chris,do you remember why we designated the WCMA event as non-championship?  I don't remember ... except maybe to just keep it separate from other events.....or to limit the number of championship events at YYC?

R

Maybe Tom/Wanye can speak more to this but I was under the impression that we wanted to keep the number of points events manageable so that more people could potentially participate for the championship (so 12 events total, best 7). However, we also wanted to make sure that the people who qualified for the championship had to make atleast half the points events.

We also didnt land on if we were doing 2 day combined scoring or separate scoring. By keeping the WCMA out of the championship, it allowed us to keep the flexibility for scoring (although I think it would be best suited for 1 day scoring to allow more people to participate).

Welcome back Wray!

Your membership card is on its way via snail mail so it may take a couple more days. I was out of the country last week so I didnt have a chance to send any membership cards out last week so there is a short delay on them right now. Typically I get those cards out after 1-2 days after you sign up on msreg.

I use Kyle Ho @ Spec R and Jackie @ Balance Auto Garage for most of my tire mounting and balancing needs.

Jackie also does all of my alignments.

This is who i use as well.

There are also many members that use "the car salon/tirecraft" for their mounting/balancing needs... very good people as well.

We have a 35 inch LCD if you wish to borrow it.  It is the display for our racing simulator.

Edit: measured it, and it is 38 inch

Awesome!  Thanks Murray! Im assuming it has a table stand?

Whens a good time for me to drop by and pick it up?

Update: Looks like we have the cars and enough volunteers for Driven!

Just wanted to ask out there... does anyone have a smallish spare LCD TV with a HDMI Input that they dont mind lending out for the show? We would love to show some videos at the booth.

Let me know!

Thanks

Chris

SASC Events / Re: Scores for April 29/30 events at Fort MAcleod
« on: May 02, 2017, 07:26:49 AM »
Keep in mind that it typical takes one person 8-12 hours to do a car depending on size and condition of car.

They obviously have a couple people per car but you can figure out how much this type of service runs

noted , i will not stack the cars anymore , i just assumed if the car was running with driver ready it did not matter if it was in the pit or waiting in line , Reijo your correct it can be done only 2-3 waiting but grid marshall will need to be more firm with the command to go to the start line and drivers will need to be ready

Last weekend we had 72 drivers in the afternoon (the novice orientation people came over who did not run the big course in the morning) and 3 run groups.

How did the 2-driver cars find that to work with?  Hurried?  OK?  Otherwise?  Can someone speak up about this?

Thanks,

Reijo

Richard and I were rushing quite a bit to get pressures dialed in/numbers done. I barely had enough time to jump in/get belted before i was called up to the line.

General Discussion / Re: Who's switching cars next year?
« on: April 06, 2017, 09:00:15 PM »
Thinking about a new car for next year, how do you you guys think the new Audi RS3 would complete? I would guess that weight wise, it would be similar to an S3. I don't even know what class it would end up being in.

I would say either AS or BS.

BS because the M2, RS4, RS5 etc are in BS but it could be AS as the S3 is already in BS. I see that the TTS is in AS so I could see the RS3 being there.

Miata is all prepped for the season:

Karcepts front sway bar
Koni shocks
Alignment
Side skirts screwed into place to prevent a cone from knocking it off.
3M on front hood
CS-II nano-coating on entire car
Wheels + RE-71R rubber

Just need to get a few more KM on the engine.

I discovered that the club model (GS in Canada) has a Sirius (shark fin) antenna on the trunk lid, while our car does not.  That is a bit concerning, since it probably could be protested at a U.S. National event.  Comfort and convenience doesn't cover removal of body bits :(

Nice! Im just getting shocks/swaybar thrown on the car this week... im a bit concerned about rubber... my rears are backordered and the estimated date of arrival is April 14th... cutting is quite close.
