don't limit yourself - you have the potential!

May be a hell of a good time on Sunday - only 12 cars registered as of now.  Get lots of runs in before we start thinking about putting on winter tires over the Turkey Day long weekend.

Duct tape and zip ties.

You were driving the wheels off the s2k on Sunday - it was great to watch.

Coned away my best run =(

In the overalls, I don't have a score for sunday.

EDIT: I see why... I'm split into 2 people.

Dan O and Daniel O are also the same person

Went off track today though... My apologies to the marshalls that were stationed there... Hope I didnt come too close for comfort :S. Video here: https://youtu.be/-IET-FMrqio

I think there was a light code-brown for those two.  I was just ahead running to pick up a cone.  Got some good exercise marshalling today  ;D

I didn't even see you guys.

That's because we got a ride home in the tow truck yesterday :(

OH!  You broke on practice day.  Today was rough.  Wind was blowing cones and timing trigger around.  Timing trigger got crunched early in second group runs...

How was that Macan so fast relative to some people in the pack?  Holy Balls.

...I'm already in SM for silly reasons but wheeling the car around the cones is still a handful and while I'm pretty much the slowest guy out...

Just work on improving against yourself.  You built that car because it inspired you and you enjoy it.

Technical Talk / Re: Welded Rear Differential?

welded = rear wheels locked together.  For drifting or drag racing.  It will suck the suck going around corners.  Guaranteed you'll be able to find a working diff for under $1000, maybe under $500.

It is brand new for this year, it is more of a stubby wagon than an SUV.
...
It is 355hp, has 332ft-lbs of torque and an AWD system too

It makes no sense, should never have been build, and I love it!

Course was super fun today, and I'm glad we got started at a decent time and got plenty of runs in.  Someone's MR2 didn't make it home - saw it on the side of the road with no occupant just north of town.  I think my LSD is now just a regular differential, which would explain how I was getting wheel spin in 2nd gear and dropped 2-3 seconds of pace in the afternoon.  Very unhappy sounds in parking lots with no load on the axle.  Hope to make the next one in Red Deer...  :-\

In my vast experience of having run two events so far, I've only seen the map be available the morning of.  Saturday's course will be different from Sunday's if you're there all weekend.

Only 30 people registered so far vs. the usual 45+  Should make for a good day if we can get organized and rolling early.  Maybe an opportunity for some extra runs...?
