« on: September 15, 2015, 11:29:51 AM »
The season is wrapping up .... well, yes, quickly!    Time to burn off the old rubber:
Sept. 19/20 is Fort Macleod ... following weekend Sept. 26/27 is Red Deer and the final event of the summer CSCC/SASC series are on Oct. 3/4 in Fort Macleod.

Oct. 3/4 are the final events of the combined CSCC/SASC solo season!     That is the next coming weekend ... weekend before Thanksgiving!

May be a hell of a good time on Sunday - only 12 cars registered as of now.  Get lots of runs in before we start thinking about putting on winter tires over the Turkey Day long weekend.

10 and 13 right now ... I know of others who have not signed up yet ... Hmmm....think I will design some courses that will not be cone-intensive so we do not have to work ... Saturday anyway...    :)

Sounds like a good plan -- the weather looks pretty sucky :(

Jo and I plan on being there -- I need this last event to make the minimum 7 events for the season.  I can't beat Cam for the championship, but I can fight for that all important second place :)

Should I be bringing snow tires for this event   ;D

It doesn't look that bad for Fort M, no snow predicted like Calgary. A little rainy on Saturday and then just cold on Sunday. Good for the turbo, I am in!

So I take it I should NOT hit 24 cones this time... haha

I wish I could have heard the radio chatter that day, lol

haha, well we will see. I think that was some kind of record!

really hoping I don't have a repeat, I am not sure what was going on that day. I had brand new tires on the car, and it felt like it was hooking up well, then suddenly... WHooooop... I would be careening through walls of cones.

The next day, I ran the same setup with no drama

I have to work on Saturday or I'd be there...and I just put my winter tires on today.  May as well burn them off as well! Got the car tuned a little better - hopefully it'll work better this weekend.

I normally try and get to the storage by 7:30 am.  Also I am planning on leaving this afternoon for Fort Macleod so I'll be there overnight.

This morning the pavement is mostly dry in Fort Macleod but there is a fairly good north wind blowing that is cool.    Should get good gas mileage coming down!

Breakfast at AW and then pick up cones for set up shortly.
