I paid for a membership so I may as well post an intro.

I'd like to get out and drive aggressively in a legal way so I will be watching this forum for events.

I currently want to race my completely stock NB Miata.

Welcome to the club!  Since you have a Miata you will be able to find lots of people to help you with tips and such as we regularly have multiple Miatas at our events, everything from stock-ish to very fast modified ones.  Hope to see you at the events.

Thanks, I was curious about the ice driving school, it seems to be targeted towards teaching Joe Public how not to die on the ice, is it also for someone like me who wants to learn how to drive quickly on an ice track?

I would never discount the SASC ice driving school as they tend to cater to the skill level of the driver, but there is also the CSCC school to prep for Ice Dice.  I know that the last time I talked to Chris he said it was filling up quickly.  http://cscc.speedracer.ca/forums/index.php/topic,12538.0.html

Just thought I'd share my experience. Attended the SASC winter driving school last winter, it was very fun and informational as well. A full day of driving and a good portion of it on a slalom/auto-x style road-course. They also put you in a different group based on your skill as Stuart mentioned. Way more organized/fun than the cscc ice cup event I attended IMO. Tempted to sign up for the SASC school again this year. No experience with the cscc school though.

And, I have a NB as well!
