That car should rotate quite nicely.

If it s anything like my old RSX-S, a bit of trail braking gets the rear to come around nicely.

Stil dont see it..

Hmmm......showed up in the preview.  Odd. ... I'll check now (6:27 pm).

Damn!  My error!  :)  I added the class but did not check the box to include it as an option ... go figure.  Anyway, it should work now!

Thanks, now the class shows up but I cant select the correct group. Just gets stuck at "choose group" rather than being able to select "all street classes"

Details for the Challenge Event will soon be released in the forums.  Cash is king! There's nothing like a cash prize to motivate good competition!

Competitors and other event attendees, should note that in an effort to further develop the SASC's relationship with the surrounding community, certain event guidelines will be strictly upheld for 2017.  As motorsports enthusiasts, it is the goal of the club to not only host motorsports events, but to demonstrate that motorsports activities can be conducted in a responsible, sustainable manner that benefits the surrounding community, and participants everyday driving skills and behavior.  With this in mind, participants and attendees are reminded to be respectful of others both on and off the event site.

In an effort to minimize our impact, in 2017 the club will again strictly enforce a 93db sound limit at all events.

General Discussion / Re: Who's switching cars next year?

Apparently the paint on our new car is quite brittle -- multiple rock chips showing white dots on the hood already :(

Good ol' waterbased paint. Subarus seem to suffer from the same thing i find.

SASC Events / Re: *PRELIMINARY* 2017 SOLO SCHEDULE
« on: February 23, 2017, 08:37:28 AM »

As for the championship points, somebody correct me if I'm wrong but I believe we were planning to use your best 7 events, however you MUST have at least 2 events from each venue (Fort Macleod, YYC, Red Deer).

Correct, we tentatively determined that if we had 12 championship events (4 @ each venue) we would go with best 7/12, minimum 2 at each venue

(Fort Macleod/Calgary/Red Deer) to qualify.

SASC Events / Driven 2017 YYC SASC Booth
« on: February 14, 2017, 11:30:45 PM »
Hi all!

Last year we entered a booth in Driven to drum up some interest for the club and we are thinking of doing the same for 2017.  This years show is Saturday, May 6th at the Olympic Oval.

We're seeing if there is any interest for individuals to volunteer on behalf of the club to give info, tell interested parties what we do, where we run, etc. We're looking for around 6 volunteers (2 people for 2 - 3 hour shifts) to be at the booth.

Can you please post here if you are interested/can make it?

Also if you are interested in displaying your car in the booth let us know as well in this thread.

A two day event on the weekend before the nationals would make for a great practise event, and a good stop for people driving out to Pitt Meadows for the nationals.

I totally agree  ;)

Technical Talk / Re: Tire Choices 2017
« on: February 05, 2017, 12:32:08 AM »

Still holding out to see what the RS-4 brings and also keeping an eye on the Nexen Sura4G as they've done a bunch of testing with Heitkotter and Isley... seems like they put a bunch of work into this tire and it will be interesting to see what comes out of it.

There are RS4s coming?... I always liked my RS3s - I kept going back to them even when I was getting old stock just because I enjoyed them so much.  I hope the RS4 is more of the same but better!

Yep already on Tire Rack. Just want to see how they perform with some of the early events in mid to late march.
