Member Discussion (Private) / Re: Nominations for 2021 Treasurer
« on: October 26, 2020, 09:43:24 AM »
I would like to Nominate Dallin Beloglowka for the position of SASC Treasurer for 2021.

For the last few seasons Dallin has been a very regular fixture at SASC Events and has become very competitive. Those of us that remember his white(Slightly Loud) BMW M3 truly appreciate his latest move to a much more civilized and very quick Lotus Evora.

I feel that the role of Treasurer will be an easy transition for Dallin as he is well versed in Finance and Investments as part of his life outside of Autocross.

Dallin, please feel free to tell club members a little bit more about yourself.

Tom,

I will Volunteer/Self Nominate myself for this spot on the team.

Based on the responsibilities outlined to me this week I am confident I can keep everything up to date.

For those members that don’t know me I am the stubborn guy that keeps trying to make an older Mustang competitive with all of the newer technology on the road.

This season the #68 Car is a White 96 Mustang GT.  I love to turn all the wrenches on my projects and compete when I can. I do need to change my Avatar! The Yellow Cobra went to a new home this year.

I have been involved in Auto X for the last 7 years. Started out simply with a driving class with the Red Deer club and was hooked. Have been a member with SASC, CSCC, RDSCC. The most fun and most challenging events have been with SASC. I am hoping we can keep that going for many years to come.

My background has been Sales in the Oilfield Sevice Sector where I learned a lot about managing numbers and working within fiscal plans. That was a 25 year stint but I recently decided to keep on selling but now focused on the world of Industrial Water Treatment.

This is the year to start being a more active member in the club and I look forward to helping out.

Thanks Murray.

I was reading some of the stuff on google and received a third offer written almost verbatim to what burned someone else a couple of years ago.

An Airman stationed in Florida with a 306 Area code. Unreal.

Everyone,

I decided to put my Mustang up for sale and received two relatively quick offers to purchase by paying with PayPal and then having a carrier come pick the car up.

I have always been a Face to Face transaction guy when it comes to cars so this is a little strange? Maybe its a new normal.

Seems simple enough to receive the funds and then transfer to my bank account before releasing the car. Doing the Bill of Sale etc should be fine with getting copies of Drivers License/Passport from the purchaser.

If anyone has had experience with this or knows someone who got burned please PM me and let me know your thoughts.

Unfortunately my car is still stuck under its cover. Need another week to be ready. Driveshaft never made it in time.

That and work actually got busy this month!

Have fun everyone.

This is great news. Look forward to working with everyone to ensure we do whatever we can to positively maintain the clubs status with the residents of FM.

No explanations on Crossroads Terry, I will be attending their AGM on the 17th because I'm getting quite concerned that this year could pose even more issues as we all try to take advantage of the times at Westerner. Bigger Crowds potentially Bigger Issues!

I am all for a more rigid structure/conditions if it helps us keep these venues and the neighbors happy.

Just an FYI for everyone concerned about our venue challenges.

The RDSCC just published 14 events on their calendar for this year and they are all at Westerner. No Crossroads and No Harvard Park. The situation does indeed look very frustrating.

Want to do some tire fitment this winter. Anyone have a worn out Hossier A6, R6 they want to get rid of?

James,

I built one earlier this year. Murray is right using the Harbor Freight kits looks good on the surface until its time to register. I enede up using one of the 4x8 folding kits from Toys 4 Boys Motorsports. I had to do relocate the spring perches and do some screwing around to get it to a 4x4 but it worked out well BUT!

When I built it I was running 275 40R 17 Toyo's. The 4 tires fit nicely between the frame rails and i used some of the extra kit pieces as part of the tire rack. Thought I was golden. Stepped up to 295 35R17 Hoosiers and they ended up being wider than the 4' trailer frame so I had to fab up a new tire rack. Not quite as much tongue weight as I would like. Will look at options to fix this winter. I have toolbox up front and tires on the back.

Probably cost $1500 to get where I am now.

I will try and resize some pictures this weekend and post.

Hi All,

Lots will recognize my Car from my Avatar. Typically I just Lurk and Read and don't contribute much.
My plan is to run more SASC Events next year. I was splitting between RDSCC the last 3 years.

This was a good year for moving forward. I was a little concerned about not being competitive in SM with my Mustang but Nationals proved I can stop worrying about that and just focus on honing the driving skills.

Look forward to tagging along to some of the Montana events with club members next year. Could even be convinced to give Packwood a go.
