Automotive Marketplace / 2013 FRS For Sale
« on: October 09, 2018, 09:47:21 PM »
FS   2013 Scion, manual in red with 85k and Toyota badging (for reasons unknown).  I drive/a-cross 2013 FRS in black, and my kid works at SouthCentre VW where they have the red one on their lot, and it hasn't moved. He said its weird because he knows what the car can do, but its off-brand for them and it keeps getting a price drop, but it won't leave.  Its down to $14.5k now and they are motivated so that price could probably be dropped some more.  He knows I autocross, and so he asked if I might be able to mention it to y'all in the market place here.  His name is Scott and if anyone is interested, here is the link:

Hopefully I am not breaking any Marketplace rules by posting a dealer ad here. I am not a dealer, but my kid is. My intentions are noble, but if this is bad karma, then I assume it'll get taken down by Administration. Totally understood.

Thanks

Glen

I was working the waiver table for the last shift today, and I totalled up the number of folks we had on site today. We had 90+/- drivers and 146 visitors. Holy smokes! Lots of good PR happening here. Everyone I talked to was intrigued, and many wanted the date for the next event. All good.

Notwithstanding the timing hiccups, the day looked to have been a huge success. There were 80 cars (give or take), a huge lot for us to play in, great weather, and lots of folks dropping by to see what was going on. Kudos to Reijo for nabbing the site (and for buying a katrillion new cones); and many thanks to everyone that helped out to make it a successful event.

Geez, I'd love to attend an event in the Calgary area. That would be fabulous and it might facilitate the attraction of new local members if they try it out and get hooked....even if its only available locally for one season.

Count me in, Reijo. I'd likely try for most of the September and October dates. It would be great to try an extend into mid/late October. So often the weather is nice...or it snows...but either way makes for interesting driving. I also agree with Canuck insofar as you being let loose on a course design for a large unfettered rectangular area. It would be incredible......

Amen to Nick's comments. It was fabulous. Third time for me, and I'll do #4 for sure next year.

Its a great event. I've been to the last two and am trying to get this one lined up as well. The benefits of having a pro in your car with you, showing you how and why to do or not do things, cannot be underestimated. Absolutely fabulous.

Great job folks.  The airport is a fabulous location....especially when the guys set up the loooooooong course all the way down to the end of the runway. You start to see the curvature of the earth. All good. Looking forward to the season.
