SASC Events / Re: Two day (3 set) Fat Kat scores for August 13, 2017
« on: August 13, 2017, 07:10:06 PM »
What a fun weekend forsure!!!
Greg or I both were not sure how it worked so I told him to just keep doing the same thing lol. Guess it paid off.
Huge thanks to EVERYONE who made this event possibile even greg said if he didn't win he loved the course and was great to get behind the wheel again.

My dad got more runs then he bargained for as a passenger they stopped by after camping to see what Greg did lol (kept the same weight in the car)

Again huge thanks to Overtime Rentals for sponsoring the challenge!

Are there any restrictions on ride alongs for this event, be it other competitors or spectators?
I asked the same question, here was the answer.

"To clarify.
Passengers (non competitors) are allowed.
Competitors are not allowed to ride along with another competitor. (An advantage seeing the course more times at speed)
Hope this helps. "

Was a great night to be out even with the little rain we had!

Thanks to Dan in the yellow ST for testing (Or shredding LOL) out my tires.
New shoes went on today at Spec R (Time to try out the RE71's) Gave Kyle a call and super nice and very accommodating!

See you at the next one!

Sorry I arrived late. I wasn't sure with work I'd be able to make it.
First time running the start position. Glad I could make it out to help out where needed.

One thing I did notice was there was a couple cars without the tech sticker. Are we requireing  the sticker for practices as  well?

I should be able to make the next one to help where needed. ( busy time for boats so I never know my hours)

Thoughts on cars running, I did notice a few times the start was empty but seemed to be real smooth overall.

Thanks to all that made it out but a massive thanks for anyone who worked the slamon course section for all the running you did. That's so appreciated!!!! You guys sure had to work hard.

General Discussion / Things I learned while in Red Deer today....
« on: July 08, 2017, 08:24:56 PM »
What a great day!!
Things I learned today...
1. stopping for a wedding is more important then us losing the facility and everyone was very understanding for the short break we had to encounter (ok two breaks but not our fault lol )

2. They sell Ice cream sandwiches in the Ag arena just in the back for a $1.50!!!!! (Found out at the very end   ;D ;D)

But what was really cool was going for lunch today with Paul T. to the Burger Baron and meeting the original owner that started the Baron business back in 1967 I believe he said.....
He was such a kind hearted soul and funny as all heck. The signs he had up in his restaurant are priceless. He was so proud of what he started and had accomplished.
The food was amazing, yes just a burger but a good home made burger that was definitely on the list of repeat visits!
So when up there next stop in there for lunch.

Huge thanks to everyone who attended and helped set up! Was a fabulous day!!

The series schedule and the MotorsportReg.com signup page both say Saturday's the championship event. RDSCC is apparently having an event (championship event for them) at Westerner Sunday.

It's going to be hot!

Thanks.
I guess there were two conversations going lol.
See ya Saturday!
Yes hot is an understatement!!!!! Lol

SASC Events / This weekend event at westerner park. Sat or Sunday?
« on: July 04, 2017, 10:08:36 PM »
I heard lots of people talk about red deer this weekend and some said it was Saturday is the championship event and others said Sunday is the event.
Just wanted to be sure it's Saturday.
Anyone want to put me in the right date?
Cheers.

See you there.

What bolt pattern are the ROTAs with the tires.  Would you sell separately?

They are 15x7 with 4x108 bolt pattern (I think this bolt pattern is pretty rare, I've seen it on some 90s mustangs, escorts, early 2000s focii and the fiesta).  I'm not keen on selling them separately since if I part with them then the car cannot be driven anywhere as the tires on the other set of wheels are not safe to drive on.

Chris, you mean you would sell the ROTA's for 1500 and include a car to go with them  ;D ;D ;D ;D

I thought that's this race was not part of the championship series?
Curious why part of the overall.

SASC Events / Re: YYC - WCMA Regional - Count as series Event?
« on: May 30, 2017, 03:26:08 PM »
I think it was your choice of any of the championship events could count ... just practice events did not.  Just needed a couple of events from each venue - Red Deer Westerner, Fort Macleod and YYC.....or something like that.

Correct me if I'm wrong ... anyone?

From the schedule on this forum I copied the following:

Championship Details
-To qualify for the overall joint championship Best 7/12 events will be taken to determine your overall score.
-Your best 7 will require minimum 2 scores at each venue. So your 2 best results from Red Deer, YYC, and Fort Macleod will be factored into your best 7.
-All of the days count as a single event except practice events.

The way I read the above is that the WCMA events count as 2 days for the CSCC/SASC championship series ... and they would count as your minimum 2 events at YYC.  Having said that, I think points might be harder to come by at this event since we will have more people here including a bunch from Winnipeg who are headed for Vancouver for the Nationals .... so more hot shoes present.

R

The way I read it was
the ones with event numbers were the ones that counted.
The 2 day event didn't have an event # beside it so I didn't interpret it to be part of the championship.
Maybe I'm Wrong?
