I had a friend from a local dealership forward me this as a heads up. Some pretty good rebates out there. As long as you have a valid invoice from periods listed you should be able to claim the rebate from the tire manufacturer.

Thanks for this Chris, you just paid for my tire install and the Teen Burger I owe you.

Forgive my ignorance but how does this work?

Its just a reminder of all the upcoming tire rebates so you can plan when to buy your favourite tire brand/model. You wait until the dates shown, then you go in buy your tires and follow the rebate instructions at that time.

On a related note, what's the next best source for Bridgestones after Costco? Costco's selection of RE-71R tire sizes seems pretty limited -- I don't know if this is a new thing, or if it's always been that way.

Are you referencing their website? I am certain they have access to any size that the tire is produced in but don't advertise them all. For example, they don't show the 285/30/18 RE71R on their website, but the last time I was at a Costco I was able to get a quote for that tire. I would suggest either calling them first thing in the morning, you might get lucky and they will give you a quote over the phone (they aren't supposed to do this) or you will have to go to a store in person.

Stephen I would contact Matt Macdonald at the Car Salon - Tire Craft (403-769-9309) he's been very competitive for tire pricing for SASC members and has done his fair share of putting wide tires onto narrower wheels, which Costco won't.

To close the loop here -- Matt no longer works for Car Salon, so I talked to Chad instead. Chad gave me a very reasonable quote (after name-dropping Richard :) ), so I've ordered my tires through him.
Thanks for the tip!

What sort of price is costco quoting for 285 30r18 RE71's?

Has anyone tried to claim a Bridgestone rebate? The PDF that Chris linked to says to visit BridgestoneTire.ca for more info, but I didn't find anything. The only thing shown in the Special Offers section is a 30-day try-before-you-buy program.
Maybe I should try my RE-71Rs for 30 days then return them. ;D

Sera and I made our claims for the $125 rebates last week. Still waiting for it to be processed/accepted according to their site.

My tires were purchased March 15, not sure when I did the form, rebate application confirmed received March 21 and approved March 24, purchased at Can Tire (if it matters). Scanned documents sent in, no actual mail. Gift card will be a few weeks out.
