Interesting article and event.  Scott Fraser cleaned up in the 850 hp mostly original Cobra (motor changed).  Mary Pozzi in her Camaro was 3rd and beat the Unser brothers again!

Goodguys Rod & Custom Association sponsors multiple (18 - 20) interesting events that draw hundreds of cars to each event. They combine a rod & custom show, vender & manufacturer exhibits, bar & grill, live entertainment, autocross (typically 4 - 6 dozen entrants) with very simple rules.

The SCCA is trying to capture some of this American Muscle Car hot rod enthusiasm with their CAM classes. Nothing better than that V8 rumble... IMHO.
