I'll guess the answer to this but it never hurts to ask. For street category the rules say stock rim width only with any size tire that fits on the rim and under unmodified fenders. If you have a stock set up that is staggered, front wheel 8" wide and stock rear of 9", can you use a 9" on the front if the tire still fits under the unmodified fender? "Stock size and width". Short story, a square set up equaling less under-steer.

I wish that was legal, but it isn't. :(
My S2000 runs a staggered setup, and it would be sooo much nicer if I could put the wider rears on the front as well.
-
Nope, has to be the same wheel widths as standard on each corner of the car is what I interpret.
-
What about running a wider tire on the std. width? I run square tires on staggered wheels just 'cause that's what worked out. But both are not factory spec so I never read in to it much.
-
You can run whatever size rubber you wish. For example, I run 225 width on all 4 corners of my S2000, but the front wheels are 6.5" width and the rear wheels are 7.5" width.

Thanks all. As suspected, ::)

I didn't race my legacy at autox much, but last year i stuffed a 245 wide tire on a 7.5" rim to stay in D Street class ::)
Then I realized the OEM wheels were only 7" wide... oops!!!
