Hey guys,

I've wanted to be a race car driver since I was a kid.  I've had a lot of hobbies come and go, but even when I try to get away from it I always find myself wanting to play with cars.  My big problem was that pretty much since I've been driving I've had more use for a 4x4 than a sports car and couldn't afford both.  I used to want so badly to join in on the rallyx events at Race City and loved watching touring car and rally racing on TV.  I started a project a few years ago and was going to build a sleeper turbo Civic (all go, no show!) from my wife's retired DD and unfortunately had a lot of time and money sunk into it but when we had our daughter my free time to tinker dissappeared and not having a garage yet meant it was quite an ordeal to load up and drive to my folks place where I had been working on it, so it sat for almost 2 years untouched before I sold it
Fortunately we decided to buy my wife a new car this year and she picked a GTI over the TDI golf, YAY!  So now I have a serious "go fast" itch I need to scratch   I am hoping to get out to as many Autocross events as my schedule allows to compete in the GS class, and really looking forward to learning better technique and skills from the more experienced people I will get to meet. 
I also picked up a budget beater for the off-pavement stuff, and although it looks like I'll only be able to attend 1 "Ice Dice" event I am very much looking forward to it! (Almost as much as watching my wife freak out as she spins out of control at the winter driving school!!)

No more standing on the outside looking in...  I'm very excited to meet you all!
