The big downside of the new Miata showed up on the east course -- second gear was just too short for that course.  My best run in an AP2 was better than Andy Hollis' best run (by about .5 second) -- and I wasn't exactly burning up the course that day.

I do like this statement:

For the record...Ogburn also shifted to third multiple times in the twin on the East Course

Do you know how many shifts in the twin?  I shifted twice in the AP2, and I believe Andy did 6 shifts :(

Mazdaspeed Motorsports will sell any of their parts to Canadians (provided you have signed up with them and provided race results) but shipping can be tough.  I would think that shipping to MSO would be a good option.
