Title: 27th August
Post by: Terry Johns on August 19, 2017, 11:48:31 AM
Seems that the entry to next Sundays event is a little thin on the ground. 8 entries as off the 19th

I generally don't sign up until a few days ahead.

I filled my required events for both RD and FM.  I'm just rolling in the YYC's for the rest of the season.

Thursday morning (9 am):   13 entered for the Practice and 25 for the Championship.

So, slowly, and somewhat normally, we are building up.  The practices are usually less well attended but can often get to 40 or more whereas the championships tend to be 40-50 or more.

I have noticed that about 1/3 or so sign up the day before and then another 5-6 or so show up at the site in the morning at FM.

However, even if you pay at the site (that is an option on MSReg.com), it is preferable if you sign up on-line so that you are hence automatically input into the computer when Murray picks up the file from on-line.  It saves a bit of time in registration on the morning of the event.

Thanks,

R

Also, particularly on Saturday, if we do not have too many people, I've been pondering some strategies for course designs over the last few days and given the opportunity, maybe we'll play with some changes during the day ... otherwise it might get boring running a gadzillion runs on the same course.  This isn't a track after all!   hahaha   :)
