Details for the Challenge Event will soon be released in the forums. Cash is king! There's nothing like a cash prize to motivate good competition!
Competitors and other event attendees, should note that in an effort to further develop the SASC's relationship with the surrounding community, certain event guidelines will be strictly upheld for 2017. As motorsports enthusiasts, it is the goal of the club to not only host motorsports events, but to demonstrate that motorsports activities can be conducted in a responsible, sustainable manner that benefits the surrounding community, and participants everyday driving skills and behavior. Morning, just wondering if there is still room in the May 13 Novice session? Would love to start learning how to really drive!
thx! Paul

Events aren't open yet in Motorsportreg.com yet, so you aren't too late :)

Just realized that the April 29 is listed as a practice only ... usually we have a novice school at the west end at the first event at Fort Macleod (I changed the schedule accordingly just now). So, Paul, you have that option open as well. I just set up the April 29/30 events moments ago and they are open for registration.

Hey guys. With us joining with the CSCC do we require their membership as well or is it co scantioned where the SASC will let us enter their events
Thanks :)
-
An SASC membership will cover you on both fronts... or visa-versa.

Hey guys, I'm going to make myself available as a volunteer for pretty much every YYC event this season, possibly some Red Deer and Ft.Mcleod events as well. Sometime early May I should have a Mazda 3 Hatchback and would be able to help with equipment hauling, possibly storing/recharging too. Ultimately wherever Im needed is good by me, would love to refresh my knowledge of how to run timing and am happy to help give tips/directions to newcomers, mainly fwd as my awd/rwd experience is still lacking. Definitely want to play an active role this season as often as I am able, its time for me to step back up to the plate 8) see you all out there :)
-
That is great to hear Nathan! I can give you some training on timing gear and software, although it is a popular (aka hard to get) working assignment when the weather is nasty :)

Not a worry about weather, just want to round out my knowledge and catch up with any changes which may have been made in recent years while I was taking a break.

Schedule updated - e.g. May 28th is now a Championship Event.
Other Championship events thereafter have been renumbered.

If we were to schedule a Friday evening practice, I'm available most Friday afternoons to help set up.

I may be able to help out some Thursday evenings.

I can likely do the same on Thursday evenings

The addition of the May 28th event to the championship calendar means there are currently 13 events rather than the 12 originally considered for championship scoring.....does that mean any changes to the scoring system beyond making it (presumably) best 7/13 as long as you have a minimum of two scores at each venue?
See you all in FM next week!

No, it is as you mentioned, best 7 events but you must have 2 scoring events from each venue. The point is to get people to travel to the other venues and see what is offered over there. e.g. expand everyone's horizons a bit. :)
