This Saturday afternoon (Ambrose was thinking 3:30 pm or so ), we would like to setup the course for Sunday.
If anyone has time to volunteer to help set-up it would be great. We need a few people and I notice we have quite a few entries already so this may turn out to be one of the bigger events thus far this season, therefore we can afford to make this your work assignment - setup and tear down.
So, let me know if you are available ... I believe we can use 4 people on top of Ambrose and I.
It takes about 2 hrs to setup the course so we should be done by about 5:30 pm.
I will be picking up the key on Friday some time so I may deliver a few cones for starter to the site at that time ... storage is sort of along the way for me and I might have a bit of help with me on Friday.

I can be there Reijo!!
Cant help Friday but for sure Sat.

Is help needed for Friday? Is it same about 3:30 - 5:30?
Saturday wise, I may have some time to help out too. Just run into the budget lot I'm guessing?
-
I live close by and can help out.
-
The help is needed Saturday afternoon only ...
I have to pick up the key for the gate during business hours on Friday so I'll just bring a single load/or a few cones over then just so the work can begin on Saturday before we pick up the cones ... No need for anyone else to come by on Friday.

OK, got the gate key, dropped off a check and some cones/brooms for a start (just a single load on the drive by).
So, let's meet at 3:30 pm at the Public Storage where the equipment is stored at 90 Country Hills Landing NW (map is attached to this email ... basically 4 km. west of the airport ... continue on Airport Trail to the west (becomes 96th Avenue) and one block west of the Harvest Hills Blvd light, turn south and the storage is a block south).

Actually saw a comment from a friend on FB that there is some potential for a hail/thunderstorm in the afternoon tomorrow. So let's check the weather tomorrow morning and check back here to see if we have to change our plans at all.
No point being a lightening rod in the middle of a flat, open expanse of asphalt/parking lot.

Looks like earlier is better than later....chance of rain goes from 40 to 60% between 5 and 6 pm according to the current forecast:
https://www.theweathernetwork.com/ca/hourly-weather-forecast/alberta/calgary
So I think stick with 3:30 pm for now ... and let's monitor this "thing".
We'll leave chalking etc. until the morning by which time it will be dry.

see you guys at the storage at 3:30 today.
Bill.

Great! ... some extra help may be good so that we finish the setup earlier rather than later ... so maybe we can escape the chance of rain.
Thanks Bill and see you at 3:30 pm.

I should add that 40 or 60 % chance of rain is almost a coin-flip ... 50%. It may rain; it may not rain. And the forecast is for Calgary ... not necessarily for the airport area. Maybe it will rain only in the NW corner of the city ... or SW? And thunderstorms normally pass within minutes here anyway ... so we should be ok no matter what happens.

Sounds good then. 3:30pm at public storage.
-
See you there.
-
Here now. Nobody at storage, heading to the budget lot.
-
Ambrose and I are here at the budget lot
-
Well that was a great setup ... 1.5 hrs - a new record time I think despite a long course. :)
Also great timing ... finished just as the first drops were starting! :)
Thanks to all the helpers ... worked together really well.
