Title: SCCA Solo Nationals!
Post by: Reijo on July 29, 2017, 12:01:10 PM
We are well under way for preparation for the SCCA Pro Finale and the Solo Nationals even with locals entered and making final adjustments and schedules etc. etc. etc. since this is just over a month away.  Early deadline is Aug. 6 for registration I believe.

There are 1170 entries as of this morning:

https://www.motorsportreg.com/index.cfm/event/event.status/uidEvent/F5C01D32-0839-803A-58485C83A60EF7B3#class1-4A22261E-C002-8F6F-9EF41775E57A985B

The biggest class appears to be STR with 72 current entries.

Information on schedules, run days, etc. etc. are at the main SCCA web site:

www.scca.com

There will be live scoring and broadcast so that even though you may not be going, you'll be able to follow along (same link above).

Locals already registered - Jay/Ambrose - SS, Wayne/Ryan - BS (runs Tues/Wed. Sept 5-6), Cam/Stephen in AS (Sept 7-8 - Tr/Fri) .... we haven't registered yet but will likely soon (FP - 20 entries thus far - run Sept. 7/8 - Tr/Fri).  I already have my work assignment - reporting/writing an article on some classes - probably work Tues/Wed and run Thurs./Fri.  Alan Rae hasn't entered yet in DM but will be likely going I would imagine.  Don't know if Tom Kerns was going from Edm.?  Tom?

Did I miss anyone?  In any case, there are a few of us going.   :)

Note that there's an entry cap of 1,350 drivers, so if anyone's planning to go but hasn't signed up yet, now is the time.

I'm doubtful this year, I'd need a co-driver and a fresh set of Hoosiers to make it work haha

Get the Hoosiers delivered and mounted at the site (Hoosier brings a semi loaded with tires and tire changing equipment).  If you call them, give them the size(s), they will bring a set with them in the semi ... I did that once - worked well!

Split the cost with a co-driver ... and sounds like an open invitation!   Anyone?   :)
