Updated overalls (not adjusted for venue restrictions):

Things of note today:
Cam's awful results happened because I corded a tire and rudely kicked him out to drive an STR classed S2000.  The classing change killed his results for the day -- he was in second place in the morning, about .5 seconds ahead of me.

James C kicked butt today, beating everyone in PAX.  Nice driving James!

Thanks everyone for a great day! The wind was strong but our will was stronger. Thank you Reijo for the course design. It was definitely a challenging course but worth the seat time to learn.

thanks guys!  Also a big thanks to everyone who came out on Saturday to build the course so that it was ready to walk first thing this morning!  That is a big help and a good thing to have so that we can all have plenty of course walks ... and get plenty of exercise while we are at it!   :)

And, of course, it is a community effort to make these events work smoothly, so thanks to all making it happen!

As a sideline, I really enjoyed the part of the course from the end of the slalom, through the chute and into the 3-cone slalom (3rd cone was hidden in the far wall in case you did not notice ... :) and then the right into the straight along the west end of the lot ... and then heavy braking for the right corner after that.  I found it quite exhilarating to jump through the chute and not really seeing the "opening" between the first two cones ... not knowing exactly how fast you could take it ... and yet just pressing the accelerator and holding off on the slight brake at the end.  If done right when you turned right just before the 2nd cone it tranformed beautifully into a slight drift and smooth arc around the right bend and into the back straight.  My god that was fun!   ;)

There was also a gang of us in the supercharged BMW's that piled into the cars (4 or even 5 at a time) when I did a couple of instructor runs ... hilarity ensued!   :)   Good stuff!   Thanks Ed and Warren for the use of your cars!  It was quite surprising even when loaded up with so many people how hard those cars accelerated!  We could have used a trunk monkey for extra weight on the rear wheels in a couple of places!  I guess somewhere around 600 hp helps?   LOL

Today's course was a strange one, especially the morning edition.  I considered it to be a power course, with many deep digs, even for the Miata.  The issue was that there was no place for the higher powered cars to lay down their power after the dig, which is what made it strange.  In the afternoon, it flowed much better on the exits from a few corners, but I have no idea who got the most benefit.  As I said, strange...
