Automotive Marketplace / Porsche Wheels +tires for Autocross track
« on: June 14, 2022, 03:39:54 PM »
996/997/991/981/718

I have a set of Enkei SP-3 RS Forged wheel specifically designed for Porsche.
19x8.5 +55
19x11 +45

Gloss back and in fairly good condition as shown. These wheels are super light and forged. Currently mounted with hard to find Falken RT600 autocross/track/street tires in
245/35R19
305/30R19

Tires were bought from SpecR last month. Front tires have never been on pavement and the rears were on my Spyder for one day of Autocross. Reason for selling is my mistake and the front wheel barrels do not clear my brake calipers  :'( ::)

Looking to get $4,800CAD Bolt on and you’re ready to go to track or Autocross. Would consider separating.

Some people at the last event showed some interest in the car so I’m posted to confirm that the car going for sale. Before I remove the front swaybar next week anyone who is serious should talk to me.

Thanks
Ryan

Other Stuff For Sale / WTB/WTR Raceramps - really long ones
« on: July 08, 2018, 10:31:24 AM »
Does anyone have some super long Race Ramps? Maybe even a two-piece version? Waited till the last minute but looking to borrow(rent) or buy.

Another option is if someone has some longer trailer loading ramps? I believe the ones on my trailer are only 5 feet.

Other Events / Packwood travel plans

I know quite a few people and planning the trip and maybe some would like to share travel plans? Always safer (though maybe slower) to travel in a group.

I believe Cam, Ambrose, and I plan to tow in for the tour starting Thursday after work stopping in BC for the night and arriving in Packwood on or before dinner Friday. Anyone interested to travel with us is welcome.

I am flying back to Calgary from Seattle on Sunday evening and returning Friday afternoon for the ProSolo. I may be able to provide a ride to or from Seattle for anyone that has a similar schedule.

I was running these most recently on my M2. One shoulder is more worn that the other so these were likely on the front  ::)

I'm not sure exactly what to ask but in the $350 range for the pair. If you are in the market for this size let me know and I'll get good pics and measure tread depth.

Thanks,
Ryan

Impatiently got into another car so unfortunately need to let the M2 go already. Great autocross and street car. Selling completely stock still on original tires.

2006 Porsche Cayman S
Artic Silver Metallic on Black leather
56,000kms/35,000miles

This car is available after SCCA Nationals in September. I'm listing it here now because some locals have shown interest and it would be my preference to sell it here. I will start listing it to US Autocrossers if there's no takers here. There's really no more events except locally for the car so likely the next time it will be used is in Lincoln.

Before anyone has to ask, I'm not selling because I've determined the car can't compete in BStreet. I'm selling because this is what I do every year...switch cars. I would really like to see this go as an autocross package with all the wheels and tires at once but there is no reason the new owner couldn't drive this every day.

Autocross must have options:
  • 475 PASM
  • 640 Sport Chrono Package
Autocross parts included:
Other nice to have options:
  • 343 Heated Front Seats
  • 482 TPMS
  • P16 PCM 2.1 (nav)
  • P74 Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package
The first two autocross options are quite rare to find together and are what make this particular car ideal for autocross. I found and purchased this from the local Porsche Dealer in July of 2016. I drove it to work for a couple months then put it away for winter waiting for the car to be officially classed in BStreet. When it was, I threw on an adjustable front sway bar, got it aligned more aggressively, fitted the XRR spec wheels, and have been only using it for only autocross since.

Originally an Texas vehicle, it can easily be imported back to the United States as well.

Full Disclosure:
  • The car has a claim from back in 2008 for a rear collision $7k repair.
  • The 3m protection on the car is old and could be replaced.
  • There are some paint scratches and three small door dings as you would expect for a car of this vintage
  • When I bought the car it was occasionally throwing a misfire code. I replaced the ignition coils and it hasn't thrown one since.
  • At the Fontana ProSolo the car began reliably throwing a CEL code related to improbable intake something reading something. After researching, I brought a new OEM Porsche MAF back to California with me and changed it out in the parking lot. It stopped throwing the code...until it threw it again twice while at Canadian Nationals in Vancouver. This is some 3 months and over 1,000kms later. I've changed nothing but it hasn't thrown it since.

If any of the above issues seems particularly concerning than I'll do you a favor and respectfully suggest you stop looking at 11 year old German sports cars immediately :P

I'm looking to get $34,000CAD for the car.

These are quite worn and maybe even on the wear bars. At the last event I used them they still were able to set a top three index time even while carrying a cone penalty! Top index without the cone? ...so clearly there's some speed left in them and the price is right. $0 just come pick them up.

I have no need to mount these again this season but maybe someone can make use of them or else they are going in the trash pile :(

For those attending, who is going to the Tour and who is going to the Pro.

Is anyone flying? Maybe splitting rental car is an option?

A pair with about 4/32nd measured tread depth. These were on the front of my 911 last season. Not sure how many runs but they are definitely very usable. $250obo

A pair with 7/32nds measured tread depth. Again, these were on the front of the 911 but just for SCCA Nationals so have ~20 runs and no street miles at all. They are nearly new just showing wear on one shoulder. $500obo

I'm currently between autocross cars but it looks like I may be able to attend the October 2nd event after all... I'm therefore checking if anyone could be talked into exchanging a seat for some money for this event?

I'm not 100% to attend yet but don't want to wait til last minute.

If you are interested, please contact in private through PM or email me at <my username> @ gmail DOT com

Thanks,

Although online registration is closed, registration for this event can now still be made at the event site on Friday up to 7pm with the late fee waived. In other words, if you were on the fence and thought you missed it you haven't.

Everyone should try a ProSolo :)

Looking to try something like this at the next track day. I know joe g is using this as well as others. Describe your setup and how you use it? What mount, etc. Where you purchased? I read it can be paired with a go pro? Anyone doing that?

Thanks

Other Events / Aug 13-14 VCMC Summer Blitz
« on: June 06, 2016, 02:51:14 PM »
Annual two day event in Vancouver area. I know it's early but anyone planning to attend?

I told myself I wasn't going to go this time as I've been somewhat disappointed in the trip the past couple years. Has seemed that participation, interest, and competition in the region had been going down hill. That said, venue is pretty good and the event has been attracting good drivers from Alberta and Washington for a long while. To top it off, this year the VCMC has been kicking attendance records that stood since the early 2000s and have seen upwards of 130 drivers even at local events so the trip has again piqued my interest.

The format is also often something different and this year they are again advertising 2 days, 4 courses, 12 runs.
