I no longer have my long arse telephoto lens, sold most of my equipment. I thought I’d bring my camera and see what I can do with a cheap arse wide angle lens. I was only able to shoot during my rest period which was Run Group 2.

Here are a few of what I came up with…

I keep reminding myself to “Look Ahead! Look Ahead! Look Ahead!” but I often don’t do which makes me run wide in some areas and makes my inputs choppy instead of smooth.

Mate right here does a great job of looking far ahead…

Here’s your chance to own a rare set of SSR Watanabe RS8
Here are the wheel specs:
16x8
38mm offset
5x114.3mm bolt pattern
72mm hub bore

The Watanabe RS8’s are two piece wheels, the centre’s are separate from the barrel, much like some BBS wheels. These are the Type G, the centre’s are brownish bronze in colour. The centre’s can also be reverse mounted, meaning… you can put them on the back side, which will give you a massive lip and very little backspace, as you can see on photos 7 & 8 (the last 2 photos).

I will throw in a set of 16x7 blank barrels that don’t have centres on them, the specs on the blank barrels are in photo number 6. And if you can find a talented machinist that can precision cut them, you can actually combine the two and have a 3 piece 16x11set. That 11” width is by my estimation.

Winter is not that far and incase anyone is looking for a reliable beater or something reliable to drive while you're working on your project.

I've had it for nine years and it has never let me down. It has 349,000 kms, still runs great and very reliable, always starts in extreme cold temperatures. Front brakes were done this past April, battery is about 2 years old. Oil changes done every 6,000 kms with synthetic oil.

Body is good for its age, minimal to no rust, some dents and scratches. The bad... check engine light is on, it has been for over a year P0420 and P0430 code, catalytic converter. It does not affect performance, still runs well in spite of that.

I'm selling because I've got a slightly newer RAV4 on the way.

Priced to sell at $2,995
