Bought these tires for winter but the sidewall is too big and I'm having issues clearing the fender. It rubs.

Will get unmounted from the wheels, and only have <30kms on them. Brand-spanking-new.

Driving Discussion / Skid Plate Fabricators?
« on: January 20, 2015, 01:02:40 PM »
Looking to see if there's a local fab shop that can make skid plates to protect the undercarriage? The plastic equivalent didn't survive Ghost Lake and would like a more durable solution.

Name is Don and discovered SASC through the winter driving school that was held over the weekend! Was able to drive other vehicles and this course convinced me to seriously consider studded tires for next season. I'm on studless winters and they're good when there's snow on the ground but the moment that ice makes an appearance, all hell breaks loose.

Looking forward to do more events like AutoX and hopefully learn from the experts. I drive a 2013 Volkswagen Golf R with a Thule box in the winter for snowboarding gear.

I also own a 1973 Land Rover Series III that I'm trying to revive to its' former glory.
