Automotive Marketplace / Porsche Wheels +tires for Autocross track
« on: June 14, 2022, 03:39:54 PM »
996/997/991/981/718

I have a set of Enkei SP-3 RS Forged wheel specifically designed for Porsche.
19x8.5 +55
19x11 +45

Gloss back and in fairly good condition as shown. These wheels are super light and forged. Currently mounted with hard to find Falken RT600 autocross/track/street tires in
245/35R19
305/30R19

Tires were bought from SpecR last month. Front tires have never been on pavement and the rears were on my Spyder for one day of Autocross. Reason for selling is my mistake and the front wheel barrels do not clear my brake calipers  :'( ::)

Looking to get $4,800CAD Bolt on and you’re ready to go to track or Autocross. Would consider separating.

Some people at the last event showed some interest in the car so I’m posted to confirm that the car going for sale. Before I remove the front swaybar next week anyone who is serious should talk to me.

Thanks
Ryan

SASC Events / Re: Reminder: Sign Up for Airdrie (SASC Event 14)

The event is a go. Thank you for everyone who supported making this event happen on such short notice. We are currently at just over half the entry count of previous Airdrie events so hoping for many runs as a result.

As stated previously, no refunds can be offered for this event given the loss the club is shouldering. Registration will remain open at the increased fee until 8:00pm on Friday in an attempt to further reduce that loss.

As a reminder, anyone already registered at the original fee that does not pay the additional cost will be removed from the registration list on Friday.

We only require a few more people to commit and we are a go. Thank you for the support.

Please reach out to any friends you have that were registered to make sure they are least of this option to help to event go through.

This event did not make the minimum numbers set by the club in order to proceed. The club is willing to take a rather large loss to make this event happen but at the current registration numbers, that loss is simply too great.

In an attempt to salvage this last event at our best venue and with decent weather expected, the club is raising the registration cost by an additional $30 per person. If enough registrants are willing to pay the increased cost the event will go ahead. Anyone not willing will be refunded their original payment and will not be registered for the event. We realize this is a pretty big cost for a single event but with fewer numbers more runs are expected and it's our last chance to compete this season!

As payment is due to the venue today, we will need each person willing to attend at the new price to login to MSReg before the deadline, edit their registration and hit the red Pay Now button to pay the additional cost.

Hope to see you there! If there are any questions please PM me here or email me at:

Member Discussion (Private) / Re: 2019 Season Course Designers
« on: August 28, 2019, 01:22:56 PM »
Note to future course designer for Airdrie.

The layout used for this past event (Aug 25th) worked quite well in my opinion except for one large issue. The main runway area in the 'heel' is flanked by two really large immovable objects. As a result, what could be a less painful (than FMC) pin turn nearly anywhere on else on the runway...well, wasn't. This is a shame with the wider runway. Given this, consider a different and straighter entry into the turn (so we can safely widen the radius) if this layout is every attempted again...or just design using our more traditional path?

Another thing to note, avoid designing easy to hit cones, easy to spin maneuvers, and shared gates in the transition area. This event went very quickly because there were little reruns required as a result of following the previous two principles.

We both know someone once said of selling a C5Z...

"Now everything you own will be slower, more expensive, or more likely both."

Something agreed with the car on this course for sure. Cayman is definitely gonna hook up better than a Vette or M2 on low grip. Too bad we aren't at Heartland Park for Nats ;)

Course was slow, tight, short, and on asphalt...felt like home.

This schedule posted is not correct.

The Crows Pro is at the end of March followed by Fonatana Pro the first weekend of April. The Crows tour follows that but 3 weeks later. The San Diego March tour is sometime in June

I was extremely happy to read the first sentence of this thread but luckily read the rest. Now I'm so confused I have to clarify. Have we confirmed any venue in Alberta for 2019? If the answer is no, I'm unsure the reason for this update?

Since it's so hot these couple days I plan to setup Friday evening starting a bit later when it's cooler. I'm thinking 7pm.

I could use the help of say...4 people officially to do the work. Also need assistance at lunch on Saturday to reverse the course. Helping with these two tasks can count as your work assignment for Saturday. If you are interested, please contact Stephen H (pedalfaster on this forum or stephen.hui-at-live-dot-com without the period) who is in charge of workers for the event. Can't guarantee you'll get the work assignment even if requested depends on number and group split.

Thanks All

I find it interesting that we seem aware that there are many reasons people would have to NOT go to FM but still feel it's ok to marginalize the club championship by making it a requirement to incur more costs and more time to do an event. For those that don't feel its miserable, that's totally fine...they'll go without the championship requirement.

I am curious though the reasoning behind the fear the venue would be lost if we weren't there once a month. If they don't like us, having a break or cutting back the events would be a good thing. If they do like us, having us back shouldn't be an issue. Further, even if we feel we need to book the events, the city doesn't care who shows up...less people less noise. Making money at every event is not a requirement. The SASC profits have to be spent on something and subsidizing events to keep a venue is a valid cost. How much $ is in the bank at this time?

Anyway, that's about all I know about the situation.  Maybe people can clue us in on what other reasons there are for not going to FM events?  I'm sure I'm missing some here.

I woke up on Saturday at 5:45am and got home at 5:30pm for three autocross runs. Work assignment lasted nearly 2 hours in the hot sun and I didn't get to eat lunch until 2:30pm. You can think what you will of all this but I am totally cured from wanting to attend FM events unless it's the ONLY option :)

And to be clear, I didn't go because of champ points I went of my own free will. I just feel sorry for those that care about the championship and feel like they are being 'FORCED' to attend.

I would argue that a minimum number of events is required along with an an explanation to the city (that we have a local temporary venue we have to make of use while we have it) but inventing attendance certainly isn't required.
