Ideally the September day will be double the August price.  But some of the price is up in the air.  It will depend on how many people sign up for the August event, so I can adjust my budget accordingly.

As for your experience, I have seen you enough at autocross that I can comfortably accept you joining the August date.

Running Friday August 5th from 5:00-8:30 on the full Rocky Mountain Motorsports track.  This event is for drivers with past track experience but on Sunday September 18th we have a full day planned to allow drivers who are new to track events.  Details and registration at the link below.  Your SASC membership qualifies for the same entry fee as CSCC members.

I believe that it would be classed as DS as a Mini Cooper Hardtop JCW.

I think you may have your ratio flipped as your wheelbase should be larger than your track.  Having said that, I would argue that the ideal ratio would be a function of the specific course layout you are competing on.  Tight Chicago Boxes would dictate as short of a wheelbase as practical while sweepers and less transition intensive elements would favour a longer wheelbase.

Can anyone fill us in on what happened for Cam to miss the Challenge.  Was it a car problem?

I've said it before but I'll say it again - we need to make friends with Tsuu T'ina.  They are open for business, not bound by city bylaws for noise or Nimbys, and have lands right on the ring road.  Maybe even an extension to the Grey Eagle area is all that we'd need, however they have plans for many things along the SWCRR when that is completed.

In turn we provide steady, regular usage, possibly even through the winter as Ice-Dice is seemingly dead as well.  Other user groups can book the lot for driver/motorcycle training, car shows, etc.

The club did use Grey Eagle in the past, but despite not being bound by bylaws or NIMBY they still stopped renting to us after noise complaints.  I seem to remember it was tire noise related and from someone on the north side of Glenmore Trail.

Interesting tidbit:  Although weather changes between run groups, Cam ran a second faster than the Vancouver Special!!!

Looks like that design makes oil changes and minor alignment adjustments a breeze.  Good luck with sale.

There is also a fairly new on 566, around 4 km west from Balzac, would be pretty handy for someone in the center/north area.

Technical Talk / Re: Interpretation of ST Class Rule
« on: March 27, 2018, 09:47:18 AM »
The main question would be, which "without restriction" are you referring to?
For 1.a. it implies no additional hardware (piggyback for example) but you can change the software however you like.
For 3. it would allow for any hardware or software changes you like.

STH seems to be in the draft rules for 2018.  https://www.scca.com/pages/solo-cars-and-rules

Nice trophies for Jess and Ambrose.  Can't wait to see what Cam, Stephen and Orieta do later.
