Please note that cutoff for events will be earlier this year (typically on Thursday instead of the night before).
For instance, for April 25th, the cutoff for registration on-line is Thursday, April 22 - 7 pm!
Also, you will not be able to pay cash on-site but will be able to pay via a debit card (btw, is this in place yet? I have not heard anything recently).
Be aware!
Reijo
Debit card transactions via Visa debit can be done via MSReg. Otherwise, you can send an interac e-transfer via online or mobile banking to pay.sasc@gmail.com either at the event by smartphone or you can send an e-transfer before you leave the house for the event in the morning and either print or show the transaction reciept at site.

I had a friend from a local dealership forward me this as a heads up. Some pretty good rebates out there. As long as you have a valid invoice from periods listed you should be able to claim the rebate from the tire manufacturer. http://ntdconnect.com/medias/ntdonline/h7e/hc2/8970203758622.pdf

It's too bad you cant do a 18x11 setup with 305's as that's what I would say would be ideal. Have you looked into the rivals? You could throw 315's on a 18x11.

Looks very promising. It would be great to have another option venue wise. Thanks for keeping us updated on the progress!

For the 2018 Season the SASC will be cleaning up the racing numbers, a benefit to becoming an SASC member is that you can now reserve a racing number for the duration of the season, so if you’ve ever wanted to purchase a set of magnetic or static cling numbers now you can. In order to reserve a particular racing number you must: 1. Have a valid 2018 SASC Membership (https://www.motorsportreg.com/events/southern-alberta-solosport-club-sasc-membership-923684)
2. Reserve one of the following numbers: 1-199: Reserved Numbers Only (non-members cannot use these numbers) 200-699: Open Numbers (members can also reserve) 700-999: NEW DRIVERS ONLY (have done less than 3 autocross events) (this is so we can easily identify first time, new drivers) Other numbers (i.e. 1000+ are not permitted)
3. Numbers will be on a first come, first served basis (unless you were a regular in 2017 with a consistent number and renew before April 30 - see point #4), please email Chris at Secretary.SASC@gmail.com to reserve a number.
4. Folks that were members/regulars in 2017 and used a particular number in the 2017 season will have first dibs on that number until April 30th, 2018. If those folks don’t renew their membership by that date and someone with a valid 2018 membership does request that particular number they will lose it.
5. You can only reserve one number. If you have a co-driver, he or she must also be a member and request that number him/herselfThe current list of reserved numbers is as follows: Matt R 3 Duane J 4 Murray P 5 Tom G 12 Kenneth P 13 Tom M 14 Michael R 17 Gary S 21 Ryan S 22 Steven T 24 Gabe N 27 Wray S 28 Julie T 31 Reijo S 32 James C 34 Ryan Cl**k 42 Jared C 43 Mark D 44 Adam S 45 Dave C 47 Richard B 51 Gavin C 55 Andrew P 57 James C 60 Bill T 62 Paul M 66 Steve M 68 Bill R 69 Shane R 73 Chris P 74 Lee H 76 Dave W 77 Rogan D 80 Joseph G 81 Shannon W 82 Chris S 86 Ambrose F 87 Stephen H 88 Stan Y 91 Jess W 92 Quentin O 93 Nick A 96 Aidan M 99 Jo P 105 Tom K 112 Jeff T 113 Greg P 120 Alex C 147 Sera B 151 Robert S 152 Cole M 160 Rachel M 167 Ryan Ch****se 171 John H 176 Wayne D 180 Jay Z 187 Cam W 192 Andrew L 193 Derek O 196 Rob P 201 Paul T 202 Marco L 203 Tara T 205 Myron N 215 Nathan R 228 Jessica W 248 Brian A 360 Yvonne A 361 Pat S 378 George U 403 Rudy K 404 Dan O'B***e 463 List updated 6/1/2018 @ 3:15 pmTHIS LIST WILL BE UPDATED PERIODICALLYFYI, if you're planning on getting a permanent set of numbers made up and you want to use those numbers at US events i.e. Packwood or Lincoln keep in mind that the SCCA has different rules for numbers which are:
In each class 1-99 for first driver 100-199 for second driver

Selling the summer wheels from my wife's Honda Fit. Naturally they are curbed to all hell (all 4 wheels - will get pictures soon). Would make a great race/track set of wheels. Currently has RE760 tires that are pretty much junk.
Sold!

(I was around where Q was in the FR-S as far as car placement)
I would have said that I approached it the way Stephen did. I.E. I came out of the second slalom as fast as I possibly could without hitting the first cone on the INSIDE of the final sweeper. From there I had to bleed a fair bit of speed to get around last corner, and then accelerate briefly to the finish.
Ryan mentioned to me that he was bleeding speed all the way through that corner and across the finish, which I presume a wider entry allowed him to do.
Interesting I was just assuming from where you car was that you went a bit wider, looking at the photos again, I see it was Shane driving... not you.

I did exactly what Ryan did for all of my runs. Granted looking at some of Reijo's photos from the event ( https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=oa.10156043230731686&type=1) at the last corner it looks like Ryan was a bit wider than I was for that last corner before the finish... (I was around where Q was in the FR-S as far as car placement). I see that James in the WRX kept it very tight from the photos i could see. i was tempted to try your option Stephen but im 99% sure if I tried to lift/carry more speed through the kink and stay right it would be just a understeery mess in my car

Hi all, please note that with the event on Sunday the gate for drivers closes at 8:50 am SHARP and drivers that have not checked in on site with the timing vehicle prior to 9:00am sharp will not be allowed to run that day, no exceptions.
Thanks!

One thing to mention... the DCT may be the way to go... you'll get a better launch for sure and you dont have to worry about shifting.
Sure it takes the fun out of the whole experience (imho) but if you're looking for "the car to have" i would argue that the DCT would be a better choice over the manual. Plus, you have more selection too!

FYI - the ZCP sedan only came with the package in 1 year (2011).
In 2011, there were only 2170 sedans produced for the NA market and with those only 1220 have ZCP. Of these only 10% are manual.
As far as the coupe there were roughly 8299 produced after 2009 (they didnt go into details on year by year production unlike the sedans). If you were assume that the ZCP option take rate was just over 50% (similar to the sedan), you'd be looking at roughly 4500 coupes from 2011-2013. If you want manual, only 30% of the coupes were made in manual so you're looking at ~1350 manual coupes with the correct option package in all of North America.
Personally, the coupe is the way to go. The sedan although it weighs similarly for the most part comes with a sunroof standard and a steel roof. The couple 9/10 times comes with the Carbon Fiber Roof so you're saving some weight up high. (as an ex-M3 owner... I sorely miss my old car haha)
