Interest for 5 sets total so far.

If we get 15 sets ordered, price *should* (GarageStar to confirm shipping) be $50 USD plus ~$40 shipping split amongst 15 people which would come out to $53 USD total for a set.

Regular pricing is $85.55 USD for a set of these door bushings shipped to Calgary.

Any interest in a Garage Star Delrin Door Bushings Group Buy? http://garagestar.com/blog/?product=garage-star-delrin-door-bushings

Works with NA, NB, NC and ND Miata's. Consensus seems to be increased chassis rigidity with decreased rattles/noise, reviews - http://clubroadster.net/vb_forum/85-junior-sponsors/205113-garage-star-delrin-door-bushings.html

Just seeing how much interest there is so I can provide some numbers to see what kind of deal we can get on the pricing.

So far we have interest for 3 sets.

Not sure if pricing is better than tirerack but here is another option: http://www.1010tires.com/Tires/Bridgestone/Potenza+RE-71R

If you haven't already, I'd check with Lithium Autosport or Speedoptions on getting the tires locally.

Technical Talk / Re: Your Favourite Street Tire and Why

BFG Rivals?  I had ran a friend's (Miata from Portland) car with them at the Packwood Tour last summer.  The car had the fastest time with the same set of tires on the West course at Nationals on the previous September.  A few months and the winter later, even though stored properly (Portland also ... not really cold), the car skated all over the place and we spent the entire weekend chasing the car ... turning the knobs on the shocks ... got better by Sunday after all the adjustments but it was slow.

The tires had gone dead!

They had only run at Nationals and one other event with limited street miles on them.  There was plenty of thread and I had expected to be fast.  Dead tires = slow.  They cycle out really fast is apparently what happens.

Uh oh  :o, I've got a set of rivals stored indoors at room temperature that I used for an event in August with less than ~500 km's on the street.

Technical Talk / Miata roll bar info
« on: December 22, 2014, 07:10:34 PM »
Since there's a lot of Miata owner's, I am wondering where most people who have roll bars bought them from.

I am looking at a Hard Dogg roll bar (not a full cage), most places in the US don't seem to ship here. The best option seems to be to order it and go pick it up from Montana at one of the border storage facilities but not sure if the time/fuel cost/plus shipping cost to the storage facility is going to be much cheaper than just paying an expensive shipping fee directly here if that's possible.

I've also heard a few places in Ontario make miata roll bar's but the fitment, seat and helmet clearance do not seem to be very good from what I've read.

Just thought I'd share my experience. Attended the SASC winter driving school last winter, it was very fun and informational as well. A full day of driving and a good portion of it on a slalom/auto-x style road-course. They also put you in a different group based on your skill as Stuart mentioned. Way more organized/fun than the cscc ice cup event I attended IMO. Tempted to sign up for the SASC school again this year. No experience with the cscc school though.

And, I have a NB as well!
