The weatherman said it was to be 'breezy' in Helena Sunday, so I went.
'Breezy' turned out to be muchos wind... gusts +60mph.
Batten down the lights and cones to get the event in the record books.

Other Events / 2015 Helena Top Gun

Trust I'm not speaking out of turn when I say that Jo & Murray Peterson and myself had a great time in Helena this past weekend participating in Montana's Top Gun event. I know I did.

Murray placed 1st in Street, 6th overall PAX for the weekend.
I placed 2nd in Street, 0.722 secs behind Murray on Sat, then narrowing the gap to 0.043 secs behind him on Sun, for 7th overall PAX.
A very satisfying weekend for myself, and a good tune up for this weekend's CAC event.

I would like to encourage more SASC participation in next year's Top Gun event. You won't be disappointed by the venue or competition. Maybe the SASC can take home the Top Gun trophy! We do have the talent in the club.

BTW... Helena's last big weekend event is Sept 19-20, the 'Coneheads' Event. Registration can be found on MotorsportReg.com.

I know nothing about Plastidip...
But I'm certainly happy with the powder coat from Calgary Powder Coatings on my wheels...
$80 a corner though, tires off.

Marvelous experience... So I thought I'd share their 2015 event schedule.

Member Introductions / Wayne - Intro

I've been involved in Autox for 5 years now. Thoroughly enjoy the competition and camaraderie. My driving skills are improving yearly, through varied competition in Western Canada, NW USA, 2 trips to Lincoln for the SCCA Nationals, and in no small part the valuable instruction from the SoloPro staff. I'm currently the Treasurer for the SASC, looking forward to another great year ahead in 2015.
