I've just looked on the Motorsport Reg and see that we currently have 74 entries for this weekends event. As I understand it 74 entries at $40.00 is $3,200.00 am I also correct in thinking that the lot rental is $1,500.00 that should leave the club give or take a few dollars around $1,700.00 profit. Does the club really need to be making that much money? wouldn't it be better to lower the entry to say 60, and give everybody more runs, surely the more people we have the less runs we get. If we 60 that will still give the club around $900.00
So its either more profit or more runs. My votes for more runs.

Help is needed on Sunday morning 7.00 - 7.15 to set up the course. As this is a much larger lot than FM many hands will be required if we are to get started on time.

Not sure if I have heard correctly but is the club going in the direction of having less, practice days, more championship days and running events every other week for one day only ?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the laptop that it used for timing the same laptop that is used for registration. If so who has it, as Rachel needs to familiarise herself with it before the next event on the 23rd July.

Am I right in assuming that PAX was introduced to produce a level playing field ? If so then the same driver on the same day on the same course should be able to get in a Mini Cooper or a GTR and set the same PAX time or am I mistaken.

We were wondering what folks thought of the idea of having a BBQ at the Red Coat Inn on Saturday evening instead of going to the Pub. We could buy the provisions & liquor across the street from the Red Coat Inn, they have several BBQ's and picnic tables.
Any interest ?

I'm very pleased to hear that the club is taking seriously the noise issue, particularly after the struggled to keep the lot this year. I would also like to suggest that 1/2 way through the season we personally visit each house and ask the residence if we can improve what we are doing. I am always mesmerised by the way in which we test cars for noise here in Canada. In the UK, noise is checked before you can run, so the problem of potentially noisy cars is dealt with before they cause a problem, wouldn't that make sense ? Each participant is asked to sit in his car, and hold the throttle at 4000 rpm, 2500 for diesel, the marshal then stands 3 meters from the exhaust tip and holds the decibel meter. The reading is way more accurate and consistently the same bar weather. conditions. Can I suggest we look into an alternative way of doing this. In the mean time well done to all who got the ball rolling.
