New wheel bearings on 05-May and now again this week? What on earth are you doing to that car?

Last week was the right rear, and Friday it will be the left rear.  Thought the left would be good, since it was replaced (along with the hub) in 2013.

Apparently both wheel bearings are shot -- car goes into the shop Friday at 1:30 P.M.  Hope it gets done, or Jo and I will be looking for rides this weekend :(

It's the pub for Jo and me.  Better food, controlled temperature, no bugs, no hassles about drinking in public, and people that give me food/beer when I ask for it.

i can take the timing equipment if it only needs to be at the Fort Macleod events and the solo schools , i can take then to Lethbridge have them charged and ready for each event , but i will not be at any Red Deer events

That would be fine!  Red Deer events use the CSCC timing system.

Tom has nicely agreed to take the Farmtek timing hardware.  We don't usually use it at an event, but he can take it for a Sunday if the regular equipment breaks down on a Sunday.

Someone has to take the regular timing equipment plus radios home with them after the next event weekend.  It should (must) be someone that is attenting both days of the school (Paul T, Mathew R, Mathew K seem to meet the bill).  Whoever takes it should also set up timing at the next event -- I will follow them around and give hints :)

Sigh, I can only dream -- Jo and I just aren't up to a trailer queen.

For those of you that have never driven Cam's car -- take my word for this and just but it now.  There is nothing at all that will give you as much fun as driving that car.  It is perfect in every way -- the only limit to your results is your bravery and skill.  That car will give you whatever you ask of it.

Final round against Bollenbec, we both broke out, by over a second. Good thing I didn't have to carry that break out penalty (1.5 secs) to another round.

Impressive that you had another 1.5 secs to give -- sounds to me like you have a winning bit of skill at your disposal.

That sounds fairly specialized, what camera do you have Murray? Does it record in HD?

Not specialized -- just a very good pocket camera (Sony DSC-RX100).  It can record HD up to 4K, although I cannot think of any place where I would use that resolution.

If someone wants a very slow motion shot of their suspension working, I now have a camera that can do up to1000 frames a second.  At that speed, it can only record a video that is 4 seconds long, so it's not good for extended shots, but fine for going around a selected corner.

Thanks!

It's not me in a pinch -- I won't be there to care.  I assume that the club wants timing/scoring for their events, so people have to step up and take over when needed.

Well, the timing school didn't happen last weekend, and May 14/15 is the last Fort Macleod event I will be attending until October.

Will someone volunteer for taking the timing equipment to/from the next event and setting it up, etc.?  I am writing up a document to guide anyone through it, and I will deliver the hardware to your house, complete with a quick demo.

You would also be responsible for handing off the equipment to someone that will be attending both days of the following event (the Solo Pro school).  That person would hand it off for the next weekend, and so on.
