The logic I'm using is that if Greg when to 7 YYC events, only 5 would be scored. Not that he would disappear from scoring due to a lack of FM events. If that were the case, only Tom M would qualify in that category and spots #2 and #3 would be empty.

In the overalls, and not that I care, i'm missing my results in the STOUR for May 6. STS was my class that day.
Jeff S.
I manually added you into my records, but we should check with Murray why it wasn't getting generated in his overalls (maybe a number change?)

I'll be on site to setup the course at 1pm on Saturday and would appreciate any help I can get with tossing some cones around. Anyone who is able to help with course setup will have that count towards their work assignment for Sunday's event.

I think you are looking at RAW scores Murray, not PAX. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kaH75O-SVawnRKBefPhFjD6XbKCQMRIK/viewHere is the data from your last update, however, I've added the venue to the dates below for clarity; Cam W 18_04_29(FM) 99.666 ** 18_05_05(YYC) 100.000 ** 18_05_06 (YYC) 99.803 ** 18_05_12(FM) 99.073 ** 18_06_10(FM) 96.674 18_06_23(YYC) 92.728 18_06_24(YYC) 97.934 ** 18_07_01(YYC) 98.412 ** 18_07_28d1(FM) 0.000 18_08_11(YYC) 100.000 ** 18_08_26(FM) 98.083 Best 7 695.037 (using **)

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1BTMuPpKHB8sCs8VHtmnbuRr1ONqJgmL2Here are the current SASC championship standings by trophy classes. Note that these could differ from the list posted by Murray, since this list includes the requirement of using two scores each from Fort Macleod and Calgary within your best seven. Looks like there are some tight races within the classes to determine the season end winners. Good luck to everyone in the last three championship events.

I am curious why you have not enjoyed ANY of the FM events. I have not heard that kind of comment before. You can PM me if you like if you don't want to discuss here. I'm curious to know why.
The risk reward element of the long drives down for potential few runs, marginal weather (both wind and rain) seem worse at FM than at YYC. I personally feel YYC is a safer venue, as we usually have ample run off room compared to FM where going off the tarmac can lead to more car damage (I've taken both my cars off the pavement at FM now). Highway driving, while usually okay, also poses potential consequences (took a chunk of asphalt to my hood this season on the way down to FM). Bring out the tissues for this one, but, I also feel like I've never had a good set of runs at FM (either off pace days, or tons of cones). Obviously, that's on me as a driver, but not putting together a good day in all the times I've been out last year and this year usually leaves me frustrated after a long day to attend the event.

I voted that I would no longer attend Fort Macleod events if the requirement was removed, my reasons are aligned with those already listed in this thread. On a subjective basis, I've never enjoyed a race day out there but that's just my personal experience.
If we are truly of the mind that we will lose the YYC venue, then should we not try to maximize events there while we can? Is there anything besides our plans that prevent us from booking the venue more often? What prevents us from hosting YYC every other weekend during the season?
One thing to consider would be the potential to further entice the YYC-only crowd (those that already never go to Fort Macleod, and maybe only come to Calgary a handful of times each season). Knowing that they could qualify for the season's championship by only competing in Calgary might push local attendance higher. Those that only come 3-5 times a year, may push to reach the minimum 7 events if the championship is on the table.

The small green one is from me (Chris tossed it to me for the Packwood trip), so that's how it got back in the bag. Can't help on the missing new one though.

People have been registering at an unprecedented rate -- 1,181 people are signed up already.
There's an entry cap of 1,350 people, so if you're even just considering going, sign up now to avoid missing out. If you change your mind, you can cancel up to two weeks before the event and just pay a $20 cancellation fee.
Yeah, that's what I did. Is anyone else going to be there Thursday/Friday? Seems like most of you guys run Tuesday/Wednesday.

I'll be at the lot this Saturday at 1:00pm to begin setting up the course for the Sunday event. If anyone wants to come by and place some cones, I'd appreciate any help I can get.

With this weekend being the first (I think) WCMA regional event, I was wondering if anyone had any details on what's going on with the series this year. From what I've gathered, we have the two events in Calgary and the one event in Red Deer on July 29th. There doesn't seem to be any more information on the WCMA website or forum.
Are there any other WCMA regional events besides those noted above? Do the points mean anything this year (are there any prizes similar to previous years)? If so, do we compete within classes or on PAX? What are the requirements to qualify for the series - is it just doing the two days in Calgary and one day in Red Deer?
