SASC Events / Re: Nov 6 YYC6 Yes! We are

That sounds completely reasonable to me.
I noticed as well, and with a course as large as the one last weekend, we definitely need all hands on deck.

Some kind of check-in that just uses car number would probably work well enough. It would also provide opportunity to ensure the entire course is covered.

We'd definitely be in for another day if the weather holds!

Thanks for posting, and thanks to everyone for putting together another event! Didn't think I'd get out in the GT4 again this year!

I had an absolute blast. Looking forward to getting out on the ice this winter.

It's more than that - when it switches to the big cam it gets hilariously loud. We actually disabled the system so it was down on power with a lower redline.

That one jump to 97.6 db from the usual high eighties was when I let it hit lift.

Wow, what a difference between the high and low cam on the Spyder! High 80s vs 97.6. We knew the car was loud, but I didn't think it was that loud on lift.

Already have a replacement muffler... and will add a decent sized resonator. That'll be much nicer to drive, and will get to enjoy the extra power instead of feeling super slow while on course.

Hi all!
I've been out to a few events in the past, figured it was time to create an account... mostly so I could see the sound log files from this past weekend, not gonna lie. Co-drove the green MR2 Spyder last weekend with my husband Ryan. We had to disable the variable valve timing and lift to keep it quiet enough. Time to put that new muffler on and stick a resonator somewhere in that tiny exhaust. I'll have my Celica GT4 at the next event - was waiting on parts.

It's always a blast to throw a car around a course, looking forward to the next two Calgary events!
