Cam,

Thanks, I'll take them off you. I might have to wait till the first event in April to grab them from you, unless I can arrange with something from Calgary who is coming up to Edmonton before that that can bring them up for me.

Hey Joe, you can take a couple of our dead 275/35/18 RE71Rs. All are down past the wear bars but no cords. The only catch is they're still mounted on wheels.
I might be interested in using these dead P275's to test fit on my car as well after Joe is done with them. I would be trying to squeeze them on some 8.5 wide wheels but I don't know if there is enough fender/strut clearance and won't have the car till Mar/April to even investigate.

All those who voted 0.814 are winners. I was 0.002 high.

New PAX = 0.806 + (0.008 Adj) = 0.814

Automotive Marketplace / FS - 2009 GTR - AutoX built for Street Modified
« on: October 04, 2017, 11:37:56 AM »
Not sure why I didn't post this here sooner, but here it is. One of the first GTRs sold in Canada serial number 0094. I bought this brand new back in August 2008 from Sherwood Park Nissan. Now has 41,300km Built as a AutoX and Time attack car. Tuned by Tim Bailey in 2011. 520whp & 533ft/lb torque. First time out at Castrol's full road course with very worn Hoosiers it did a 1:24 (It's easily capable of 1:22 on newer tires). It's won 4 ASA season Championships for Edmonton AutoX. It's won a few Regional events in Red Deer and Saskatoon. Finish 6th overall at the Canadian Nationals this year in a very talented field.

Mods:

General Discussion / Re: Street Class a no brainer

Buy a FiST and run H-street against my Mazda 3 next year 8) bring back the battle of H-street
Find me a FiST I can lease and I'll take that challenge.

Ford.ca? Airdrie Ford? Calgary Ford? Are you saying they won't lease you a FiST?

Production has finished for FiST and the new model is not being sold in North America. Combine that with horrible lease residuals and it's fairly impossible to lease one. When I was looking it was $700+ a month for a three year lease vs $454/month for my WRX.

Team Ford in Edmonton has one that they will finance for 7 years at under $400 a month.

Technical Talk / Re: Nexen Tire contingency
« on: June 19, 2017, 02:36:08 PM »
Actually I was in Costco (picked up the flour for lining the course) a couple  of days ago and they have $70 off on a set of Bridgestones ... killer price now for RE-71's!   :)
They usually do this rebate twice a year at the same time of year. I usually get my sets way before I need them to make sure I get in on it. You can get them to refund the cost of mount and balance and get them done somewhere else whenever you are done with the old set.

Will be interesting to see what kind of pricing we can get when available in Canada. As it stands now, getting a set of 265/35ZR18 for my sti would cost about 40% more than getting RE71Rs from Costco.

I am planning to arrive around noon on Friday.

SASC Events / Re: YYC - WCMA Regional - Count as series Event?
« on: May 30, 2017, 05:19:33 PM »
It would be nice if at least one of the days was part of the series. There isn't nearly as much motivational to come out to this event anymore for me. It's not like there is another regional event in Alberta to do this year, and I'm not inclined to drive all the way out to Regina or Winnipeg to get a 3rd day in. In fact, I haven't even seen anything this year saying that there is an actual WCMA series taking place.

SASC Events / YYC - WCMA Regional - Count as series Event?
« on: May 30, 2017, 02:30:27 PM »
I spoke with Tom on Sunday about this event counting towards the SASC championship series. He wasn't sure if they would count or not. I know @ ASA we always counted all WCMA Regional events as part of our series to encourage people to get out to other clubs events. I was hoping this was the case with SASC as well. I am going to have a tough time getting enough YYC events in otherwise.

I will be taking the STI down for both events again this year. Derek will be co-driving both as well.

Yeah CSP got hit pretty hard. I'm shocked FS didn't get harder.
I picked a bad year to race the GTR (SM) again, maybe its time to put it back to stock and run in SS. Hey Paul, do you want to buy a bunch of GTR parts?
