Thanks Murray.

James in the Catheram isn't what I'd call a big power car and just destroyed everyone in RAW time. Then again I don't know the power to weight ratio in that car.

It's about 400HP/tonne, but a little worse Sunday because we had both people in the car each run so probably closer to 360HP/tonne which is still quite a lot. We also had Hoosier S80 compound tires and the car weighs around 1600lbs with both myself and my dad in it.

It's a very difficult car to drive I find in some respects and easy in others, I think an experienced 7 racer could easily have been 3 seconds or more quicker than me on Sundays course.

You had Jr. at the end of your name.  I removed it, so this should be correct for you:

Did your dad compete at any other event this year?

Oh Cam probably added that at registration to differentiate, that's why. Only this event for my dad.

Thanks Murray.

Hi Murray I took a quick look and it looked like you had my score yesterday seperate from my other events so far this year in the totals?

Thanks

Is your name identical to those other events?  The scoring system uses your first name + last name to identify you, so if you added an initial or something, then it thinks you are a different person.

It should have been, the only thing is both my dad and I ran this event and we both have the same name, and there's no provision for middle initial on Motorsportreg.com account. That's the only difference I can think of between earlier events this year.

Tom are the logs going to be posted? We want to know how close we were to the 93dB limit as that was our first event with noise testing in the car.

Fast and fun cars.  I loved mine, and found it very capable.  Begs to question though....  What arrives on the 28th?

I miss mine as well, selling it sent me into a spiral of buying and selling other junk  :P

Thanks for the clarification. Have you advertised your car elsewhere? I think it will sell quite quickly if you post it on kijiji. Unfortunately just a bit too expensive for my budget right now.

Do it already James. You aren't going to find the one you want in the right color paint & interior and and and.

The only thing holding me back is the lack of garage.

Park at your dad's. just bring the corvette out to race day only lol

Haha I already live there, there's no room for any more vehicles. My mom told me I can buy one but it can't stay in front of the house, and I have a tenant renting out my own place including the garage so I can't store it there either...

There are always options for renting a garage space over the winter.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem as cheap as it used to, $200-300 a month is pretty steep, and to be honest I don't earn a ton of money so that's pretty hard to swallow.

PS can a mod split off the ramblings after my initial question and answer so we stop cluttering this gentlemans FS thread.

I've seen a 245/40/17 on a 17x7 wheel before.

I did this once, but every set since has been 225/45.

Yeah I don't think there was any benefit over a 225.

Gary kindly let me co-drive with him for one event a little while ago and I can attest that this is a sound car and in very good condition.  And, like he said, some RE71's or Rivals would transform the car and make it competitive for BStreet.

James, you haven't had a Corvette yet, eh?   LOL

Reijo

Not yet, been watching them for years. Seems harder to buy into a Z06 lately unless you want a rebuilt title car and I'm not very comfortable with one of those.
