What class am I in?
« on: August 10, 2016, 04:18:12 PM »
So my Focus RS isn't listed in the rule book yet. Anyone know which class I'll be running. No mods, but comes factory equipped with 180 UTQG tires.

Thanks guys!

Check link to August edition of Fastrack News - looks like B Street is where it will end up for 2017

There was an RS out there at the last event, he was running in B-Street

Technically the tires should have a 200 tread wear rating to be considered street tires, but I don't think anybody will have an issue with that at a local non-championship event (well, maybe Dan, haha)

Actually, I'm pretty sure the rules are that for factory installed tires that don't meet the 200 tread wear rating, they are fine for regional events, but run up against the 200 tread wear rating for national events.

Yep you are right! Under section 13.3, part C

1. Any tire which is OE on a car eligible for Street Category may be used on
that car in Regional Solo® events. OE tires must meet all requirements
of Section 13.3 to be eligible for National Solo® events.

So totally legal for local events
