Another fun course today.  You had to really gamble with a few elements in order to get a good time,

Correct me if I'm wrong - I don't think Jonathan is still a rookie (hasn't the talon been coming out for a couple of seasons now?).

I see no record of him competing in 2021, just 2022.  However, 2022 was a full season, so I believe your are correct.  I'll let the executive make the formal call here though.

Although I think the definition of a rookie as per msreg is 2 years experience or less, I would say that given Jonathan's attendance consistency as well as winning the rookie class last year would take him out of rookie class this year. The spirit of the rookie class is to give brand new participants an even playing field, and personally I think Jonathan is driving above that level now.

Huh, it's only been a year since Matthew & Jonathan started coming out?  Man, seems like they've been around forever!  I was going by the under two years as the intent, my memory is just faulty.

Matt has been around the scene for... 25 years, I think? That Talon has been around since the early or mid 2000s?

These were back in 2011 at Deerfoot Mall.

Matt hasn't aged at all!

I think Jonathan is the one on the left with a green hat?

Walking the course.
I miss those days when dudes were all wearing loose jeans and not skinny jeans like almost everyone is wearing now.

I think our official definition of rookie (also shown on MSREG) is: "A Rookie is defined as someone who is a 1st year regular participant. Previous year random/occasional participation still allows for Rookie qualification. 3rd year participant no longer qualifies for Rookie, regardless of the number of events. Any 1st year regular participant does not qualify for 2nd year Rookie participation."

Definitely - but check in with Tom before you bring it down, some days he stays and runs, some days he comes out to help set up and watch before he heads home.

He definitely drives that thing like its a five litre mustang!

Updated the scores for Jonathan -- no longer a rookie this year.
