Affordable Helmet Recommendations?

(1/2) > >>

MiketheSpike:
Hey folks. Looking to join next season, and all my helmets are way too old (motorcycle helmets) to meet standards. Wondering if there is a go-to cheap but good helmet suitable for autocross and other potential track days (or a particular retailer to go see). I'll need to buy 2 so the more affordable the better :)
Thanks in advance!!!

Locotoy:
Shawn Bishop at http://rallysport.ca/ has a huge selection from affordable brands like Zamp to high end expensive ones like Bell, Stilo, Simpson etc.

Please do not buy a cheap helmet from Amazon, CBC Marketplace did an episode on those.

Ok thanks for pointing me in that direction! Cheers

I'll be buying my own, but before I buy a second helmet for my teen son, curious if there are any loaner helmets at these events anymore (with perhaps medium or small sizes)? TIA

John in Calgary:
Definitely loaner helmets available.  At the busier Airdrie events it can be challenging to snag one with the number of first timers we see out.  There is definitely a small and an x-small, my oldest has used both at Airdrie.
