Fair comment Stuart. I thought that waiver only protected the club and it was more of a 'gentlemen's agreement' between persons offering and receiving ride-alongs.  I suppose it would just be a matter of personal comfort with the protection that waiver offers individual drivers.

The one certain thing is that nobody inside the car is covered by any insurance at an event.

Exactly - not covered and not liable are different things.  Add it to the list of things to look in to should we find an alternate venue.   8)

Incorrect:   There IS coverage for bodily injury, personal injury etc. etc. as per the insurance document:

Only your car/vehicle is not covered.

I don't see anything in there protecting me from lawsuits if I take a ride-along and injure them in some way.  But I'm also supposed to be paying attention to this meeting I'm sitting in and maybe missed something.

But the coverage has a very low limit ($15k medical and $50k death and dismemberment)

Just an FYI for everyone concerned about our venue challenges.

The RDSCC just published 14 events on their calendar for this year and they are all at Westerner. No Crossroads and No Harvard Park. The situation does indeed look very frustrating.

Steve

So Westerner is the only Autocross venue in all of Alberta, for all clubs... yikes

Please keep us posted as soon as you hear anything!  Has anything been successful with regards to trying to gather local support for our cause?

Having Fort MacLeod back on the schedule for this year takes some of the urgency away from finding a new venue but I still feel like this is something we need to address this year and we cannot let it slide.  I have found 2 other people within the CSCC who are willing to help in the quest for new venues, has the SASC done the same?  Can we move ahead with setting an agenda for this meeting and scheduling a time?
