If you have not booked a room in Packwood yet, I doubt you'll find any available.
Packwood is not that big a town.
Randle and Morton, to the west on Hwy 12, may have availability.
Or try VRBO... You may find something small and reasonably priced there.

There are a number of options on AirBnB too.

Definitely take the time to call the local hotels. Determining real availability on expedia and the like is not accurate.

How not to get protested at Packwood? I'm busy back pedaling now and seeing what it takes to move back to STU trim. One thing "No modify the pcv systems" makes me have to remove my new air/oil operator. Now, if I disconnect new plumbing to aos and reinstall stock pcv system but leave my aos mounted in place will that pass a protest as all it would be at that point added weight doing nothing?

That should be fine.  Packwood is pretty relaxed.

I can't see you getting protested if you reinstall your stock PCV system and leave the air/oil separator in place. A protestor would also have a hard time proving a competitive advantage.

Furthermore, I'm not familiar with your specific setup, but air / oil separators are actually (sometimes) legal:

From 13.10.E:

"The installation of water expansion tanks is allowed. The installation of oil
catch tanks or oil separators is allowed provided the function of the PCV
system remains functional."

13 is the Street section of the rulebook, but Street Touring inherits that rule, so as long as your PCV system is still functional, you're good to go.

My aos isn't legal since it removes the pcv. I was going to remove it but now I find my actual turbo inlet pipe may not be stu legal either.

The real kicker is my clutch isn't OEM spec and that kicks me out of stu anyway.

On another note, I've read the rules over and over and one thing I was mistaken was that I was in SM. My back seat is going back in (only weight savings was 30lbs) so I can go back into asp. Still no r comps so my pax will still be terrible :( Too bad we don't have Street tire prepared and modified pax multipliers being used.

Anyway, I had high hopes of placing well in stu at Packwood but I'll have to settle in just focus on improving my driving and ignoring pax.

There is no PAX in Packwood (or any national event).  You are only competing against people in the same class.

Mikkos in STU ... tough competition.  ASP has less but there are still people signing up ... never know who shows up from the west coast....all the way down to San Diego.....and Colorado, Texas, Utah, Arizona, etc.

Only 129 entries thus far ... will more than double ... 18 days to enter yet ... Typically the entry at Packwood is somewhere between 250-300 (can be over 300).

I'd say that Geoff Clark is the one to watch out for at Packwood, He won there in ASP last year as well as in STU the three years before.  Also was a top runner at Nationals when he has made the trip to Lincoln.  I would recommend chatting with him and seeing what tips you can pick up.

Always great to have a target to aim for! Any rules against having passengers during the comp?

Local events down south allow passengers but not any regional or National level events.  If you see the course at-speed it is an advantage, therefore it is not allowed.

As for Geoff, expect that he will be pretty much fully prepared car-wise.  There might only be some small item here or there of little significance not done to the car ... if any.  All the major "stuff" allowed in the class will be done.  Period.  It will be fast.  And a good measuring stick because of that and his driving ability.  And, you know what?  That is a good thing, and something worth taking a close look at.

But something I would recommend if at all possible is getting yourself a set of Hoosiers to run on ... even used ones will be faster than street tires.   About 2 seconds right there.
