Wheel size rule clarification
« on: May 01, 2017, 11:33:15 AM »
Currently my car falls in Street Touring because of my wheel size (20x9"). Not that I expect to be competitive as a novice in a floppy convertible Mustang, but I'm thinking of getting it down to G Street if possible. The car came stock with 16x7" wheels, but an option on the V6 that year was 17x8". Am I allowed to run 17x8"?
It may be a moot point as the fenders are rolled to accommodate the 20s but since 17s wouldn't have clearance issues with stock fenders I was hoping people may be willing to let that slide...

If the 17x8 was a manufacturer's option and not a dealer option, then you are good to go.  The rolled fenders would be an issue at a national event, but I for one, would have no issues with it for local events.
