I was running 215/45R17 tires instead of the 225/45R17 that the other competitors were running.  I am satisfied that the slightly smaller size isn't noticeably slower.  I'll be sticking with this size of RE-71R, since it is cheaper and doesn't rub on my fender liner, even at full lock.

Joe is a past National Champion and no slouch!  Also a nice guy!

Nitpick -- Joe's won no fewer than three Pro Solo season championships, but he's never won a national championship jacket.

Really?  No wonder I couldn't remember when he won, eh?  lol ... however I do know he has trophied a number of times at Nationals.  In any case, he is a good driver.  :)
