 These are no longer made or sold, but when they were, they sold for ~CAD$240. I'd like $100 (firm) for them. They work really well for keeping the temps up on cool days (especially when rainy). They are the "small" size which is supposed to fit up to 245/45R17, but I've used them on 285/35R18's and they will fit snugly. Like a beautiful warm hug from your best friend. Your tires will return the love with faster times. Unless you enjoy losing, you need these.  They are located in Edmonton, we can work out a way to get them to Calgary area. 1. Protesting a foamectomy would be a weenie move for sure, but it happens.
2. Take the foam you cut out, put it in a ziploc bag and stuff it under the seat. No weight/material removed from the car, so problem solved.

Another data point for the Baofeng radios. We use them for our chumpcar and team radios, lots of options available for in-car harnesses, helmet mikes, etc. ASA went to using them a couple seasons ago - the distances at Castrol necessitated better radios than they were using previously. I programmed them for the FRS/GMRS frequencies only. My recollection is that I bought a pack of 10 for ~$240 from a vendor on Amazon. They can be locked down to the legally required transmission power limits using CHIRP or the low/high power mode can be toggled using the keypad. Oh, and having a couple headsets available for them is nice too. Especially useful if timing/scoring is near the start line and the noise interferes with the ability to hear calls on the radios. Wearing headphones also serves as a useful "don't bug me now" indicator for someone running timing.

Murray, I've done some work on a lap timer app (iOS/Android). My use case is for endurance racing but I've dealt with some of the same issues with sensor and GPS data. If you haven't already, take a look at the Kalman data smoothing filter for time-series data. I found it useful and incorporated it into my app. There are well-tested implementations of the algorithm freely available for many different languages. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalman_filterMy experience with GPS data is that it's quite good for calculating speed and acceleration as that relies on calculations requiring only changes in relative co-ordinates over time. Where it starts to fail is when doing driving line analysis as that requires comparison of absolute position co-ordinates. Then you have to start worrying about all kinds of other issues like drift, sat signal strength, sat count, etc.

Just double checking, there is an event scheduled at FM on Sunday 04-June, but not on the previous day Sat 03-June. Is that correct?

You might prefer the RE760 or the Continental DW.
I really like the DW for a non competition tire.

I did these numbers via vistaprint. I've had no issues with them coming off at autox or lapping events.

Have you checked with your auto insurer? I have auto policies that cover potential damage to a facility where I store some vehicles. That has been sufficient for the property owner, perhaps you can provide something similar. I don't think the typical tenant/content insurance is the right product for this.
