Technical Talk / Re: Cutting a few dB off your exhaust« on: April 26, 2019, 04:01:03 PM »
No. I previously had a Lotus Stage 2 exhaust which was terrible. The Larini was relatively quiet in the cabin with no droning on the highway.

$80 for me living in Banff is a bargain compared to 6 hrs of driving time to and from as well as cost of a motel. Great news!

I ran the Larini SC Track exhaust on my 2010 Elise SC and it consistently ran below 90 db - usually 85 -88 db

Technical Talk / Re: SASC RHD classing clarification« on: June 04, 2018, 04:25:21 PM »
Bottom line is, for SCCA national and Canadian national events (not sure about WCMA) need to get SEB advice/approval to properly class. SCCA has been pretty firm on JDM cars in the past and, until recently, hasn't allowed them to compete at Nationals.

In 2012 I received an opinion from SCCA - SEB re: classing my 1991 Mini Cooper and confirmed I could run it in E-Prepared. Basically, only Minis sold in USA can be classed otherwise and Minis were sold in US up to and including 1967.

I bought my 2010 Elise SC new from Weissach, Vancouver. A year ago, I traded it on a Porsche and Weissach gave me what I had originally paid for the car and a week later sold it for $10,000 more than they gave me. Granted the SC's were rare with less than 200 brought into North America between 2008 and 2011. So Elise/Exige are hard to find and prices are not easing.

Hey Tom, do you still have the Vette. If not, what car will you be using the QuickLift for?

Back in the old days, we never had pax...just classed cars and went at it. So, I still just ignore pax.

So, Reijo, re: comment that road racers don't make good autoxers, do autoxers make good road racers?
