We would obviously have to speak to them to not fly there.
At Fort Macleod since we shut down the airport while we run, should mean that a drone could be used subject to conditions above since the airport is not active.

Are we talking a red flag situation? What if the operator can't be easily located?

What do you believe the clubs course of action will be if a person unrelated to the event chooses to operate a "drone" overhead while the course is active?
Has this been planned for at all? If it has not been discussed at this point I suppose it needs to be. It's pretty likely to happen at some point.

Lethbridge guys used to be able to rent out the exhibition parking lot. Lost it a few years back and not much has been done about it. Worth looking at this point.
Please don't, publicly it may seem that not much has been done but that's not the case. Any additional actions will interfere with current LSCC plans.

Fort Macleod is the definition of small town Southern Alberta but keep in it in mind that these people are politicians like all others. It is their job to act on behalf of the peoples wants and needs. If they are not informed of those wants and needs they can not act in their favor. Emails, letter writing, and phone calls are the order of business here guys.
If someone could draft and post a Letter of Support Template each of us could sign and send it to these people.

Councillor Michael Dyck michael.dyck@fortmacleod.com I was raised on a farm in the Pincher Creek area, enjoying the outdoor life and hard work it presented. I went to NAIT for Environmental Sciences where I went on to work in the environmental field for 5 years before moving to Fort Macleod to change careers in 2001. In 2010 I started a plumbing business in Fort Macleod and have enjoyed trying to serve the citizens of Fort Macleod.
My hobbies includes skiing, baseball, volleyball and water skiing, with family and friends. Any free time I can manage is spent with my two daughters and my extended family.
This is my first term of council and I am happy to be able to give back to a community which has embraced and given me so much. I am excited about moving forward with the town of Fort Macleod during my time on council.
Councillor Dyck's Committee and Board Appointments include:

Councillor Brent Feyter brent.feyter@fortmacleod.com I was raised in Fort Macleod and involved in a variety of local youth sports and activities. Since graduating in 1997, I worked at a few local businesses and mostly worked with our family business, Structural Truss Systems, designing engineered wood products and helping grow the company. My wife Janey is a stay at home mom with our 5 children, Micah, Sherayah, Levi, Emalee and Maelle.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, being challenged by those who have attained goals and challenges seemingly impossible and spending time with our family. In living, learning and being challenged by others, I have grown to appreciate the significant role a community has on the development of the family and the success of business. To me, community is a place where people are excited about living and working, a place where we trust each other, celebrate the successes of our fellow citizens and pull together when things get tough. For that reason I ran for a seat on town council and look forward to seeing our community be a great place for families to live, a place for businesses to thrive and working together to accomplish realistic and timely goals.

Councillor Keith Trowbridge keith.trowbridge@formacleod.com I was born and raised on a farm and ranch south of Fort Macleod and educated in the Macleod school system. At the age of 38 I moved to Fort Macleod. I have three grown sons and two grandsons.
I started working at UFA in 1993 and have been there ever since. I started driving school bus as a spare driver at the age of 18, I have now been a full time driver for forty years. I am a single man with some free time on my hands, so I thought I should try and give back to my town by running for town council. Managing the UFA has been a learning experience for me, it is very different than a farm and ranch and some times a real challenge. I thought that dealing with the public on a daily basis, and hearing about their concerns, would help me make better decisions for the town. I enjoy being on council, and hope I can do my share in guiding our town through our term.

I have owned a construction company based in Fort Macleod for the past 11 years. I enjoy camping, kayaking, gardening and bow hunting in my free time.
It is my hope that by the end of my term on council Fort Macleod will have seen steady residential and business growth and the businesses and citizens are busy and happy. Our residents and business people should be the ambassadors for our town. I want Fort Macleod to have a clear vision of where it is going and that the steps needed to get there are well defined. I want cooperation and communication between the residents, businesses, Council and Administration so we can work towards our vision together.

The fact of the matter is, whether it was one of the registered drivers, their guests, a spectator looking to gain a better vantage point, or it was someone entirely unrelated to our activities that caused the damage the homeowner apparently suspects or believes it was “us”. No amount of discussion is likely to change that opinion. Realistically the damage likely would not have occurred had “we” not been there.
I’m not suggesting that we blindly pay any requested amount, but it would be best to come out of this situation as the group that took responsibility and acted quickly to remedy it. If doing that is a simple matter of paying for the damage to a couple of sprinkler heads… well, that’s a small price to pay really.
If there is the possibility a member here has significant experience in installing or repairing sprinkler systems please step up and help resolve this. Property quickly returned to pre-accident, working condition is always preferable to a bit of cash in hand and the hassle of completing the required work.

There is 1 other entry in ASP on the day I can make it so I may as well wait to see if anyone comes out to play in STU before any change.

Unless I'm missing it somewhere, I mean a list I can check before I come to the venue. I don't have the length of drive you guys do so I prep my car the night before with the hopes of minimal effort expenditures in the mornings.

Well I guess that changes things, I thought the changes last year moved my 07' STi out of STU all together. I was positive I didn't see the listing in STU for it at all in the 2014 rules. Grandfathering as Murray mentioned, was one thought I considered as to why there were cars still running in STU.
I have put my STU legal protune to good use in the past Cagare, so unless there are objections it looks like I may use it again. Test and tune runs proved to me that the limited stock boost levels never had much measurable affect on my times due to our track designs anyway. Realistically my choice between the two classes is going to be based on how many other competitors show up at events to run them. ASP was kind of lonely last year but when others were running I was far from being outclassed in raw times.
On a side note, it would be great if you could utilize the new registration info to generate a updating list of entrants and their classes Murray.

This is from the 2015 rule book.
ASP; Subaru Impreza WRX (all incl. STI) (2002-14), Legacy (Turbo) (2004-14), & Forester XT (2004-14)
No longer any Subaru listed in STU at all, that was the change this year. I believe 2014 had STI's in other years than mine still listed in STU, and of course the WRX's in STX. Now those have also been moved to ASP.
We did actually speak about this briefly last year Reijo, the consensus was to see where they were classing them down south and do the same. I just chose to run it in ASP as that's what I read the rules as saying. It was brought back to my attention when I was looking at the results posted so far this year, and with National's here again this year I want to get it right and prepare early.

My car is a 2007 Subaru STI, I Prepped it to run in STU years ago. Changes in SCCA car classing last year said that my car was to go to ASP. Ok fine, I ran my same STU prep but added increased boost levels, as that was not allowed in STU but is in ASP. After the classing change last year I was still seeing event results posted on the SCCA forum with 07' STI’s continuing to run in STU.
I ignored those results and ran my car in the class I believed it was to be in. (ASP) Come 2015 there are changes to Subaru classing yet again. 2015 ASP car classing now reads;
Subaru Impreza WRX (all incl. STI) (2002-14), Legacy (Turbo) (2004-14), & Forester XT (2004-14)
This says to me that all years of Subaru WRX (STI) from 2002-2014 are in ASP. Confirmed in fastrack news April 2015.
The thing is, I am yet again seeing 2015 event results posted on the SCCA forum listing STI's still running in STU. What gives? Do I run under prepped in ASP yet again this year, or can I load up my STU legal map and run STU?
