Thanks Tom. My local club of which I am a member is CACC affiliated - don't know if that changes any of the requirements.

Regards,
Arthur.

Great, thanks for the update and will look forward to additional info on class lettering requirements. In case it wasn't already noticed, by the letter of the regs it is allowed to have the same car number used but in different classes - same as SCCA National Tours - but I know most clubs don't work this way and sometimes the T&S system can't easily handle it.

If it were to be acceptable, I think unique car numbers without requiring class lettering would make life easier for those who don't normally already have the letters on hand. Plus lots of folks running painters tape letters doesn't look great in photos.

I was Chief of Reg for the 2007 event and remember some of the headaches these caused!

I have two questions about regulations and wanted to know how strictly they will be enforced. I am looking at the document, "2023 ASN Canada FIA National AutoSlalom Regulation".

4.1.1(b) states, "To enter a Canadian Autoslalom Championship event, residents of Canada must hold...." and presents three options. Will we have to physically present one of these at event check-in?

4.4 Numbers outlines the car number requirements. Will this requirement be enforced for this event? Also, it does not mention the need to have the car class letters shown - only numbers. Can you clarify if it is sufficient to just have the car number? Also stated is, "The organizer should also have number digits for competitors who either do not have numbers or whose numbers do not comply with these regulations." Does that mean that the event will provide some sort of number if needed?

Many thanks for the clarification and really looking forward to this event and autocrossing in Alberta for the first time!

Cheers,
Arthur.
