WTB: lightweight 4x108 wheels

17x7 preferred. I would entertain 16x7 but I'll need to do a little more research on available tires and handling characteristics.

Required for AutoX. Not concerned about a little rash but not interested in anything cracked.

I thought FR-S was a 5x100 bolt pattern? Or is this for a different car?

Personally I would go with the smaller rim, mostly because of the cheaper tire options. Sometimes you can squeeze something a little wider on it by sacrificing diameter too.

I normally just package a cheap set of rims from TireRack whenever I order tires. The rims I am using now were less than 100$ a pop and reasonably light weight. They mount and balance them for free, and because they are bundled in with the tires the shipping costs are not increased by very much either.

I actually just ordered another 2 rims along with 4 new tires. that way if I cord one of my tires in the near future, I will have a pair of spares ready to go on site.

Also, I looked for used rims at first, but the bolt pattern is a PITA to find wheels for. Even Urban X could only get me 2 different rims in 17 and they were fairly heavy and blingy.

I'd like to AutoX on a budget. $100ea sounds like my upper limit.

They have some Sport Edition (Kosei is the parent company) A8's on closeout for 75$ a pop, they weigh in at 17.3lbs

Yeah, it worked, but I'm stuck with 7" wide rims and can't use the 7.5"

I've heard of people using wobble bolts/nuts to mount different bolt pattern wheels, 4x100 seem to be a dime a dozen

The principle on how they work is simple, and because they work on tension and not shear it should be fine for autoX
