Hey Tom, a curiosity question for you - did you ever find any oil in the JLT catchcan?  I built Shannon's kits when I was at WMS and wondered whether it was worth buying for naturally aspirated engines (unless they have a serious design issue).  Definitely a must have for forced injection, they seem to concentrate all kinds of awful crap into the PCV system that ends up just plugging it up (Audi's and VW's are notorious for this, so much so that Audi came out the with a pressure vented oil cap to reduce leaking seals and gaskets on the top end).

Thanks and good luck on your sale.

Hey John, yah it certainly works. I’d say it catches <1/8th of a cup of oil between oil changes. Might not seem like much, but on a DI engine I think it’s better to keep that oil off the back of the intake valves.

Thanks for the reply, that makes more sense to me.  I wouldn't have thought it was that much oil.
